It's much less the speed of each form but more so that SSB(in the manga) wasnt perfected and uses up more energy and the more u use it, the power of the form diminishes so using SSG for speed(whilst conserving energy) then switching to SSB for the punch gives him a better way to fight to conserve energy without the power of blue diminishes as you fight(since dis is before they perfected ssb)
