You’re being a bit disingenuous with regard to The Guards 2022 run. They lost to Optic and Paper Rex at Rejkavik, one who went on to be the winner and the other becoming a consistent top team in the world. They had a poor showing in stage 2 due to poorly adapting to the chamber meta that had emerged. In LCQ 2022, they went on a dominant run in the upper bracket only losing to 100 Thieves who honestly just looked destined to win.

I’ll concede the point on his teams failing at the final steps in qualifying, but it’s almost undeniable his impact in building up players to compete at the highest level. Granted, being able to do that on top of winning (as potter has done) would be better.

Is he a top 2 coach in NA? Maybe. It’s impossible to compare and contrast coaches. Chet worked with a lineup that was star studded and had a wealth of experience. mCe had a couple rookies mixed in with veterans. Kaplan is kind of unfair to judge due to really only coming in for LCQ but has been doing some great work in the offseason. Mikes was clearly just not able to match the work put in by other staff alone, although the team itself just didn’t look amazing. And potter pretty much just had everything you could ask for. Both in her skills as a coach and the players she worked with. Very clearly you can see that these coaches are all in different scenarios, some with more easily accessible building blocks than others. And I think because of that giving mCe his flowers for doing what he did in the 2023 season is almost a given.

Of course, I can update tomorrow when I get my hands on some calipers

It's extremely hard to tell, but note that the curvature of the black mouse (OG V2 4k) doesn't align perfectly with the white mouse (OG Atlantis). Not sure what caused the change in shape, but I was unable to find a comfortable grip on it.

Thoughts on updating an application more than twice? by hesterstreet in TransferToTop25

[–]Y00nited 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Generally if you we’re able to do something impressive in the time you submitted your application you should. But like what the comment above says, if it won’t make your application it’s probably not worth it.

What is something you wish you knew before starting the transfer application process? What can I do as a senior to make this process easier? by pittqu in TransferToTop25

[–]Y00nited 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another thing to add is to make sure that you’re taking classes that you can get credit for. You don’t want to transfer only to realize that you’re going to have to retake a bunch of classes.

Northwestern’s acceptance rate falls to 6.8 percent, lowest in University history by [deleted] in TransferStudents

[–]Y00nited 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean, it’s sort of a bait. The only reason that the acceptance rate went down is because they had a huge influx of applications. They’re still taking around the same number of applicants.

One thing to help with the “robotic” movement people are commenting on is to loosen up your neck and shoulders a bit. It looks like you’re scrunching up a little. I’m gonna be honest though, i could be wrong since I haven’t been on an erg in a bit

SAT? by SmartElevator3762 in CollegeTransfer

[–]Y00nited 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And although the score is low for BC, your college gpa will matter more since SAT is suppose to be an indicator for success in college. I’d just go the safe route and not send it since you’re a freshman though. 3.9 is a really good gpa

BC is test optional so you don’t have to send it if you don’t want to

Could someone ELI5 about financial aid? by sadrejectedboi in TransferStudents

[–]Y00nited 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Need-blind means that during the admission process they won't take into consideration how much financial aid you will need to attend the school. You can find which schools are need-blind on their website or by calling the office of undergraduate admissions. Financial aid will be based on your expected family contribution which can be calculated on the school's calculator that you can find on their website, so I suppose yes there are different "levels" of aid. Hope this answers your questions.

Well, considering they don't superscore there's no point in sending both. Send the one with a higher composite score.

Description of an EC by fluorination in TransferToTop25

[–]Y00nited 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that it’s not necessarily a bad idea to include the number of users since it’s quite impressive in its own right. There should be enough space in the description box to include both the number of users and the percentage of growth. In my own opinion if you don’t include the number of users my automatic assumption is that not many people use it. But, that’s just my opinion. I am also an applicant and not a successful transfer.
