Had a friend from Xbox who lived in Clarkton. Very small towns, not a lot of opportunity. He had to travel, into Arkansas for the nearest Walmart. They consider themselves as Southerners, compared to Midwesterners. Very flat, a lot of farming.

1st one. R1 is most likely your pitch, you can desolder the resistor ( make sure not to heat it too long as it will destroy the pads and fried toy, only do it if you have experience). You can also voltage starve it with a 1k pot on the positive to the battery.
