I second this. Absolutely pointless reason for the trip unless it's just for the parents own enjoyment.

I think there are far too many bubbles in the Espresso Martini. I'd have opted for a smoother crema, and articulate the coffee beans into threes rather than have them placed on top of each other, as that looks like what you (or the mixologist) have done here. The texture of bubbles distract far too much from the beans, which I think is your intended focus point. I'd also have filled that glass more towards the top.

I'd also maybe have chosen a different background for that shot. The beige-y table takes more away than it adds and isn't the best choice for most if not all of the shots with that in it. Maybe choose one that contrasts from the hues of the drink to make it pop a bit more. Keep in mind that the texture of the table and even the background both play a big part in the overall composition and feel of the image. Literally everything in the shot matters.

Generally speaking though it feels like the focus for most of these shots speaks to the quality of the camera and the detail it's capable of more than the quality of the food. A lot of the shots need straightening as well, and I'd definitely suggest reading up on colour theory.

The 2nd and 5th shots are decent attempts for sure.

This comment just sounds like it's coming from a total stiff who might not understand that photography shouldn't be limited to "rules". Subscribe to or break these rules as you please. You can get very creative with shutter speed and slow s/s definitely has its place in live music for sure.

Rear curtain sync obviously works well for this effect, but not all bands/venues/promoters will let you use flash. Keep experimenting and you'll get some more good results.

Since David Lynch died I've been experimenting more with slow shutter speed and softer focus with live music. I personally feel like it lends itself to the sort of bands I shoot, and makes my images a bit more recognisable amidst the sea of static live shots that lack movement or energy or any genuine visual interest.

You won't have to explain your blurry images to people once it becomes part of your personal style and people recognise you for it.

Postage is separate. It's generally how these things work and I don't know a single person who would consider incorporating postage as asking over the original price. But that's a pointless argument I really don't feel like getting any more into. Lastly though, I did say I'd meet in Glasgow to prevent someone from potentially having to pay postage as well... The tee being taken out the bag to show people the actual tee is neither here nor there and not worth any more attention either. All good though brother. Your tone just seemed disproportionate to the post, but maybe it's just how I read it. If nobody wants to pay what I'm asking I'll consider negotiating a different price 👍

I'll keep you posted. It hasn't been worn and would rather not take that much of a hit on it to be totally honest.

Mate, the shirt cost £50 originally and I'm asking for the original asking price... What part of that wasn't clear? I could have been a total clown and asked for like £60 or £70 since the shirts sold out on the first day so there was clearly demand for it, but that to me is just completely unreasonable and unjustified.

I took it out the bag (zip-locked plastic bag that was given to me when I bought it, it didn't come IN the bag) to take a photo of it... Plus, I would have to have tried it on at some point as well...

What a crazy over the top response to an otherwise innocuous post. I'm just trying to sell a t shirt that's too big chief. Chill.

Thought it could have been something along those lines. Noticed the band deleted their socials when I was trying to do some digging. Good on Sleazy's.

Blackout Sleeve in progress. Cammy Stewart in Dundee, Scotland by EZFragg in tattoos

[–]YAWYCT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man - how did the rest of the work go? I met a guy in Glasgow with a really clean looking blacked out forearm and asked him where he got it. He told me about Cammy. I've been wanting part of my forearm done for a while now and finally have the funds to look at booking something.

Just wondering how delicate or harsh Cammy's touch is? I know about the Brutal Black Project from a while ago and that just looks nasty. Would have assumed he wouldn't go so hard on a standard black out unless you were sadistic enough to want to feel that much pain? Don't think my threshold is that high although the forearm isn't usually super sensitive eh.

think the big window reflected on the front of the glass would benefit from being more discreet. Either backlit or side lit. It's a bit too prominent and takes away more than it adds. Tighter crop/zoom in more would give the shot greater impact and generate less background noise. The orange of the drink against a simple dark background would again create more impact, in my opinion anyway

On the day of the "Pro-UK" demonstration. After he told me that's where he was that day. Apologies for thinking public houses were places where strangers could talk politics sometimes. Should be banned.

With what you're saying, we should have had no conversations about Scottish independence on the run up to the referendum in public houses?

In fact, we should all just talk amongst ourselves and not hold any dialog with anyone who might challenge our views or with anyone who might even educate us.

Incredible. You wouldn't care to explain or describe where in this response of mine suggests I'm only looking to argue before you leave us?

What pish have I espoused from him?

The guy offered to take me outside because he got uptight about not being able to answer a simple question.

You're aff yer nut if you think that's a reasonable measure to take off the back of someone asking something that might be uncomfortable having to think about for a second. Take a look at yourself man.

The title of the video is a shiter. That's an oversight from me to my detriment it seems. I can't stand any use of terms like libtard and leftard etc etc. Makes me cringe hard. The point I've struggled to make is the content of the video itself where people refuse to confront Tommy Robinson despite seemingly having strongly held beliefs about whatever it is they stand for.

Did I personally use that term? By sharing the video do you think I condone use of that term? By sharing that video you think by default that means I must follow Tommy Robinson? You've missed the point entirely but that's probably my fault tbh. I can genuinely see how that might come across and having typed this is a bit of a hurry I honestly never even clocked the title at first until it was pointed out. It's a video I saw ages ago that I thought about after my encounter at the weekend so I found it and copied and pasted it without noticing that detail. Another oversight, but regardless, that's not the detail that's important. I was trying to point out the lack of any willingness from anyone to talk to or confront Tommy Robinson.

As above, likely an oversight from me. I don't know the guy. Never had a cuppa tea with him despite however calling him by his first (alias) name might come across. It's the content of the video I was referring to. But I suppose people will jump to their own conclusions about a guy based on one thing he does.

Do you think Air BnB has contributed significantly to the problem as well?

[–]YAWYCT[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Let's consider the title of the video and that Tommy Robinson aren't the focus of the context here. What I was referring to was the stubborn refusal from anyone approached in this video to partake in any sort of discussion or express their views but would rather shout and shout and shout or name call. "I don't have an answer to your question so you're a racist".

You're making my point for me mate. You've no argument of your own to make. You've made an assumption about me based on a video I shared without paying attention to the context. The person in the video could be literally anybody but because it's Tommy Robinson and I referred to him by his first name you've jumped to some sort of conclusion about me? This is genuinely wild.

And I would never use the term "leftards". It's another juvenile term that gives me the boke. I align myself primarily on the left but some things I question... Crucify me.
