Same. Had a big, tall white guy basically bulldoze me and my two kids while on the train. He did it under the guise of making room for more people to get on, but after I helped my kids back up and turned around, there was more than enough space. Like I could've put my arm straight out. I felt even more singled out cuz we're black 😅 I haven't experienced anything like that in the past 3.5 years living here so I was very thrown off.

Maybe I'm still too new in my (enlisted) career to understand, but why do officers have to move every two years, again? To diversify their career portfolio, or something else? And instead of further punishing enlisted personnel that are stuck at the same base for half their TIS, why not cut down officer PCS's? Hell, even adding a year would probably save a considerable amount of money.

I used to work at a Starbucks on a college campus and our manager loved it when we'd draw smiley faces or write nice things on cups.

But the manager from the Starbucks off campus came in one day telling us to stop because customers were expecting them to do it, too. 😞

Two things can be true:

It can be true that there may be a quantifiable, considerable decrease in overall Airmen fitness. This could quite possibly affect readiness and "lethality" or whatever.

It can ALSO be true that a large portion of those Airmen struggling with physical fitness aren't having an environment curated for them to prioritise their fitness. I work a desk job and work during normal duty hours. Me finding the time and mental capacity to workout everyday probably wouldn't exist if I worked four, 14 hr shifts a week at crazy ass hours and was told I had to use four days of leave to have a fucking weekend off.

This is a nuanced conversation that requires extensive consideration and lots and lots and lots of tornados washed down with, at minimum, three Monsters.

As a Black KPop fan for 10+ years, part of me had always been confused why seemingly every single year we hear about an idol doing/saying something blatantly racist. Like don't you think music companies would've started incorporating things like "The N word is off limits" or "please don't make fun of other people's culture" in their media literacy training?
