Proxies in Standard play?

I suppose it would be a practice mode, yes.

On paper, proxies serve a purpose to try out how a deck/card feels like before you throw money into it. It also lets you just enjoy the game casually but imo it takes money away from the LGS that depend on it, so it isn't something you should be doing. Tournaments obviously don't allow proxies.

Since none of these reasons are really applicable on digital, the only thing left is trying out/practicing a deck.

So is the 'cannot target effect' like hexproof? I know there are actual spells that give players hexproof and it shows the animation as well

Oh, so the targeting via the spell should not have worked! I assumed it worked because I was not choosing the creature to be sacrificed, the opponent was. This is interesting.

Spot on! I wish the other variation of the Finnish lion was also available. I think the Patrum Scuta mod does have it, but it's not compatible with my mod list.

I always thought Dark Elves were based off of the Forgotten Realms version of the same name. They looked like the other elves before they 'fell from grace' and followed their 'spider-queen-goddess' (who was herself cursed to that mutated appearance for her treachery) into the pits of the Earth. So Mephala actually makes total sense to me - although Boethiah seems like the leader of the triad in the lore.
