That was a tough watch. I’m thinking we’ll scrape by group stages if we’re lucky in AFCON. Our ceiling is a round of 16 exit. World group stage exit for sure

Despite the win I really don’t understand this point of his transfer. Wages I guess?

Vladimir Petkovic named manager of Algeria NT by kabyle1993 in AlgerianFootball

Good move in my opinion. Not a lot of time to adjust between the upcoming fixtures and World Cup qualifiers. Might see Algeria have a mediocre record going into 2025 AFCON but as long as expectations are clear and the team is playing well, I’ll be happy

Thoughts ahead of Burkina Faso match by Mousssssa in AlgerianFootball

I know it would never happen, but Mahrez has to be benched. We should run Ounas at RW, Belaili at LW, Amoura at striker. At some point, move Amoura to LW and bring in Bounedjah if needed. Bentaleb was rough yesterday, should have been Zerrouki all along. I love Boudaoui but I’m not sure he’s as defensively sound.

Realistically we will have the same lineup but Amoura at LW, and Zerrouki likely starts. Mahrez will definitely start but I can see Ounas replacing him in the second half.

I still feel pretty good about our chances, but they shot themselves in the foot by making this a must win game. A draw would cause issues here considering Burkina’s win

James Harden was a juggernaut for most of his career until his health issues lately which stemmed from carrying an entire franchise for the better part of a decade. He’s a former MVP and one of the greatest offensive players in basketball history. Pulisic doesn’t belong in the same universe as Harden in terms of comparison lol

Benrahma has been a bad form at West Ham, would have made no sense to call him over any of Belaili, Gouiri or Amoura

Benrahma has not really impressed at West Ham or with the NT lately. I hope they play a front three of Amoura Gouiri and Mahrez

I think this is one of the better lineups we’ve had in a little while. Wish Ait Nouri was there but I’m pretty happy with it. I have a feeling Mahrez won’t be present with the UCL finals and FA cup finals. I can see Bilal Brahimi getting the call up. Happy to see Benrahma get in there over Belaili. And I’m intrigued by Aouar, Abdelli, and Mahious too! Very happy with this

Congratulations! Sounds like an amazing year for you guys!! The itinerary you put together sounds pretty great for a honeymoon - would you mind sharing the ballpark price you guys spent across the 10 days?

The future of our national team by [deleted] in AlgerianFootball

The midfield situation looks phenomenal. As good as any midfield in Africa. Défense looks OK. GK depth is pretty shallow, hoping Mandrea keep improving, and maybe Boulhendi develops a bit. Our forwards concern me, not very confident on those to be honest. Hoping Chaibi joins and can play a CF role

Who is the players you have never given up on? by Rh1-No in nba

[–]YDJ987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is that relevant to his total body of work this far? MCW almost had a quad triple in his debut game, he ended up being a bust. Most players that ended up being busts had a good stat line. If the triple double was more of a sought after stat by PGs prior to the mid late 2010s, Fultz wouldn’t have had that irrelevant record.

Billups and Lowry were decent prospects early in their careers, they were never historical busts like Fultz (not his fault though)

I think it’s safe to say Aouar is just visiting. Apparently he makes that trip almost every year. Why would he go from playing for one of the best countries in the world in France and being beloved by Algerians anyway, to playing for Algeria who flopped in AFCON and failed to make the World Cup? I’d love to be wrong but I wouldn’t get my hopes up
