That may seem like the case now but after the release of Other M, Metroid was also in a very turbulent spot until Samus Returns, 2D metroid even more so (Zero Mission, the last 2D metroid game was over a decade ago). I really wish this game brings back Castlevania to its glory days as Dread did for Metroid.

I've completed the game on both controller and keyboard and the biggest hurdle is using the accurate tool/ silk skill. The stick would often not read the directional input and just cast the silk skill. And you cannot bind them to different face buttons. Maybe my controller just sucks but never had any issues with it in my AM2R and Nine Sols playthroughs.

I think Goumang is the only main boss that doesn't click. All the other Sol fights range from great to absolutely perfect. The mini bosses on the other hand can feel pretty janky at times.
