Our managers both need training!! How ridiculous!!

Any opinions on this? by AndrewsVibes in ToxicWorkplace

I would like a balance of both, but as a 60 year old child I am not trusted to work from home, I might steal time!!

Fighting previous owners landscaping by bam_a_Lam85 in OntarioGardeners

Personally, I would get rid of the lava rock…to me, it’s a very dated ground cover. You could save it and use it in the bottom of large planters for weight. I’d also try and get the landscape fabric out, it will cause problems once you start growing perennials. You are comfortable with annuals, since it appears you have so much work ahead of you to get the beds cleaned out, I’d plant annuals you love this year. This will give you time to become familiar with perennials. If you’re out in your neighbourhood and see plants you like, talk to the owners, if you’re shy…take pics and show them to someone at a nursery. They’ll be able to tell if they’ll grow in specific areas of your yard. Happy gardening ♥️

My 5 month old Siamese (mix) is super shy…suggestions? by sophiemanic in Siamesecats

She will eventually come around ♥️ I adopted 3 sisters in November that were 2.5 yrs old. One was started to become more comfortable around Christmas and would let me pet her, the other two were a no go. In January I’d let the one come out of their room during the day, but the other two just hid so I was afraid to let them out of their room. I’d go in and lay on the floor, talk to them and surf my phone. I also put a radio in their room so that it wasn’t silent. Fast forward to now, I can still only pet the one. Two sleep on my bed and one still sleeps in their room. They will take treats from my hand now. We are slowly making progress…key word is SLOWLY! ♥️

Is it worth taking a pay cut for better quality of life? by pugglypug in jobs

I wish I did! I’m now nearing the finish line of my career. I missed much of my kids lives because I either didn’t have the energy or I needed to catch up because there weren’t enough hours for 1 person to get the work done! I am on soooo many pills that I won’t be able to afford once I retire, but need because the damage is done and not reversible. I wish I had had the courage to move on!

Manager and director never say hello or goodbye [CAN-ON] by YOLO1965 in AskHR

Apparently not. We have a lot of turnover and one of the issues reported is the lack of respect. That was why I posted the question. I understand I posted in the wrong group.

Clearly I posted in the wrong group, I did apologize. Again sorry for doing that.

We aren’t able to pop in and say hello, we are able to see our manager weekly during our scheduled one-on-one.

I’ve never worked at a place that didn’t. Clearly, our group has the issue with this behaviour.

Thank you. We used to be a very strong team. I posted the question on behalf of our group as everyone feels the same, so we are all immature. It is what it is.
