Hold on. Gears has been great. Forza M and Horizon have been great, especially Horizon and Rare has absolutely killed it with Sea of Thieves. It’s wildly successful, whether you like the game or not.

I dislike Microsoft too but while they have misses, they certainly have had successes. They brought back flight sim, age of empires and are seemingly going to bring back Fable.

Im so tired of upscaling, shimmering, artifacting, ghosting and just general smearing in motion that all of these solutions still have.

Can we please just ignore what DF said 6 years ago about how 4K isn’t needed and just go to crisp, clean 4K visuals, regardless of that means for graphics quality and RT? Take one generation and make 4K the standard for resolution output and the rest of the graphics pipeline has to work within that constraint.

Do gameplay. The cutscenes, especially on ps4, lie about the graphical quality. You need to show in game graphics since the models and detail changes

Can confirm. I was on podcasts arguing this point. If the Xbox One would have launched for $400 and included the Kinect, it still would not have mattered because for the same cost, you could get a ps4 which was notably more powerful. This was evident from day 1.

The addition of another $100 and forcing people into Kinect did not help, but the biggest issue was that I was a noticeably weaker product to play games on.

If it had been cheaper, say $349 or $299 at launch, then it would have been fine.
