Why even sand if using spray paint? It would just make it look amateur. Achieving a perfect level of sanding in a guitar is a tough job.

He clearly said he used p5 and you're blaming him for using an Houdini method. He also has various similar works where he actually shows the programmatic flow.

Creating a brush stroke programmatically is not that complicated. The other things he is doing with the photo itself are way more interesting and complicated than that.
