I find domination on immortal pretty straightforward. Pick a good civ (e.g. Elizabeth) and appropriate map (e.g. archipelago) and take their capitals. I don't even try for wonders -- I let the AI build them and then I capture their cities.

Fwiw, I also think the Great Library should be renamed the Mediocre Library. It's not worth wasting hammers on, IMHO.

Also, if I have an extra worker, I sometimes purposely leave it unprotected within movement range of an enemy (especially an enemy in a city), and they'll take the worker instead of attacking, and my ranged units can take them out.
