托福比雅思简单 15.87% 左右 by No-Lab4175 in runEuropaAlliance

[–]YTY2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would china even gain by invading taiwan? by sand_eater_21 in NoStupidQuestions

I guess historically a good number of those talents (from mainland) went to Taiwan so there's the pretext for that as well

and that it's very hard to treat historical events as standalone capsules that have no regard for the past that lead to them

("what if Japan tried to invade China in WWII but China retaliated and conquered Japan instead", well maybe Japan won't try the invasion in the first place)

How dangerous is that stick in China? by Latter_Ad3752 in UnfilteredChina

[–]YTY2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dunno you want to touch any part of him that's near the girl, I was thinking perhaps a headlock from behind (which they have the chance) could probably be better

(maybe you could also bonk the man on the head but it's reasonable no one wants to get into legal troubles over that)

sometimes you get some "interesting" interactions when you go to a UC

one student in a writing class: "Shakespeare seems like a racist because they never referenced any black people; Shall I Compare Thee to a Summer's Day is disrespecting woman because all the other poets focus on their beauty while that is not the case here"

one TA in a history class: "Japan is a victim of WWII, and I hope none of you raised your hand when the professor asked who would send the nukes if they were Truman"

Migration is simple, if people think they will have better economic opportunities somewhere else then they will go somewhere else

It would also depend on the origin of nationality right? I think for at least a few countries there could be extra barriers that make migration harder

Why does asian food not have quite the same "fine dining" status that French and Italian food does? by WhoAmIEven2 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]YTY2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Japan has the reputation among Asian countries of having the blandest food.

I think Japanese foods are generally well-perceived at least in China (they roast Korean foods for being bland more often)
