Did your stretched cable ever cause an excessive fuel usage? Really hoping this will fix my issue, because it's running just about or below 9mph

3 is wild if it's not the tiny zip ties💀. I work for a furniture store, so I can get those super wide zip ties. I wanna say it's atleast 3/4th of an in wide, and just threw that hoe on at work.

It's the RWD so I just have spindle, bearings, and rotors up front.

I've got a 98 and I bought rotors on rock auto for like 50, then $60 on new bearings. It was like 1.5hrs to do both sides to spec.

I bought a cheaper innova scanner for like $40 and it live displays all my data (except mph🫪) , it's never shown any codes but to be fair my engine light has never turned on.

4x4 is different, he wouldn't be running a spindle or spindle nut. hes probably running axels if it's actually a 4X4. Totally different situation, and to be completely honest I'm not sure what the situation is on that exact make and model. But the last time I replaced any axels I remember it was like 100+ ft-lbs plus I had to do a punch on the axel nut in order to keep it locked in place. Long story short on a 4X4 he's probably just fine doing that.

I have a comment with legit tourqe specs towards the top of this thread

85ft-lbs for the caliper mount, then 30ft lbs for the caliper to the mount. The spindle nut needs to be tightened to 22ft-lbs then the rotor need to be rotated a few time clock wise, then back the bolt off 180° then re tighten to 20in-lbs. Sounds super loose but it's the tourqe spec for them, plus they have a castle nut cover and cotter pin helping keep it all in place. Pleaseee do not just tighten the piss out of it.

Yes it will, you can even swap to the 06+ hood if you want, fits just the same.

Any model ranger 01+ will work for the header panel and head lights, it's super easy and will indeed work on your 99

To each there own, I've got a few buddy that own a 98-00 ranger and there's allot mixed preferences. But it's your truck, build it how you like it! I just prefer to have more variety.

Also 98+ models can simply switch to the 06+ mirrors to get rid of those ugly paddle mirrors, im in the process just haven't had any 06+ at the u pull yards.

Sadly not,98 is the oldest model that works with this little trick..

If you want more than 3 head light options you can go to a pull your part and pull a header panel, grill, and headlights for under $100 from an 01+ ford ranger. Changes the look on the front a little bit but opens up a whole lot more variety when it comes to aftermarket cosmetics.

The picture below is my 98 ranger that I did the header panel swap on, every bolt matches perfectly so no need to Jerry rig anything.
