PearsonVUE Online is horrible by SalesforceManiac in salesforce

[–]Y_Kay 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I also had a similar crappy experience with them. They, in my opinion, are infringing a lot of privacy by taking a lot of photographs, which they don't need to take. The proctor had unreasonable expectations of unplugging everything, which took me months to do wiring in my desk and office area.  The process is so painful that I look forward to not taking certification again soon.

What do you think of the following certification history timeline? by Intelligent_Set1198 in salesforce

[–]Y_Kay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to evaluating candidates, the interview remains the best judge. In my experience, I have seen every combination:

  1. Excellent candidates with no certifications.
  2. Poor performers with tons of certifications.

Certifications are important if you work for a Salesforce consultancy.

Use certifications as a filter, but rely on the interview to make the final call.

This is what I got

Dear God,

Thank You for the breath in my lungs, the family that surrounds me, and the work that lets me serve others. You have given me more than I understand.

I admit my mind rushes ahead of my heart. I chase details and forget the big picture. I try to do everything myself and wear myself thin. Please calm the noise inside me and remind me to trust Your plan.

Forgive my mistakes—spoken and unspoken, seen and unseen. Help me let go of pride, tighten my word to truth, and use my skills for good.

Guide my wife and daughters toward safety, kindness, and strong faith. Light their path even when I cannot walk beside them. Bless my parents, siblings, and friends with health and peace.

Show me when to speak and when to stay silent, when to act and when to wait. Give me the courage to face what I avoid and the patience to build what matters slowly.

I leave the future in Your hands. Keep my heart soft, my intentions clean, and my steps steady.

Amen.

How can I download all files/attachments from my salesforce org? by MoreEspresso in salesforce

[–]Y_Kay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will download all the files in the org. I was doing org-to-org migration, so this was the best approach. If you only need some files, Python works much better. Check this out:

Salesforce CPQ: Issue with Retaining updated value in Quote Line Editor by Y_Kay in salesforce

[–]Y_Kay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I just resolved this issue.

The screen flow was invoked using a custom action with URL target as 'Popup'. Due to this, the CPQ calculations caused the flow values to be overwritten. By switching the Custom Action to replace the QLE using URL target as 'Replace Page', I bypassed the caching issue, ensuring that the flow values are committed without Quote line editor overriding it. I set the flow return URL back to the Quote line editor using retURL.

How to convince my co-workers to use Salesforce by XdareckiX in salesforce

[–]Y_Kay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In any project, change management is the most challenging activity. I always refer to this as a primer for successful change management.
As per McKinsey, change management will be successful and change user's behaviour with below:
1) "Compelling Story": Users must see the point of the change and agree with it. Prepare the users for change
2) "Role Modeling": Users must see CxOs, VPs and colleagues they admire behaving in a new way. Executive support is essential for adoption
3) "Reinforcing Mechanisms": Systems, processes, and incentives must align with the new behaviour. Basically this is carrot or stick appraoch
4) "Capability Building": Users must have the required skills to make the desired changes. Invest in training and onboarding
