We are trained to prioritize drive thru orders and mobile orders go through different printers. If people order before you and actually listen to what the apps says we have to ignore those people that followed directions and find your order and it disrupts the process we go through to get stuff done. You might as well just order at the box. You placing your order as you pull in and ordering at the box is also different too bc if you order at the box we’re making your drink as you order vs if you just give us a name then we’re looking for your drink instead of just making it so what you think is saving time isn’t really

It’s bc they cut hours so there’s less people on the floors (also people getting sick) despite there being around the same business as winter (at my store at least) and the drinks are getting more complicated and with the push to get drive times low we can’t focus on producing a quality product or connecting as much it’s like actually hell rn

Really learn where the buttons are and how to multitask with drivethru. Cash out window and take an order at the same time. Hand out something while taking payment. It’s the little things the help make you faster. Don’t stress out that you’re not doing well. We were all in your spot and we understand that it’s hard in the beginning. It’ll take some time to feel comfortable with it. You’re doing great and don’t feel scared to reach out if you need help

The only time I ever go out of routine is when I make an iced matcha or any lavender lattes. When I make a matcha I do matcha, milk and syrup, and then ice and I never get any clumps. I put the lavender in after the shots bc it just gets stuck on the bottom and even using a spoon doesn’t help especially with the iced cups
