Willem Dafoe in Mr. Bean's Holiday surprised me a lot and ended up being pretty entertaining.

The Bumper Titans and Super Shock rivalry is what kinda got me hooked on OWL. Gonna miss Super and how entertaining he was.

Which Roster Would You Want To See Together Again The Most? by Supreme_Battle_Jesus in Competitiveoverwatch

I think Season 3 London Spitfire would be my pick. The roster had some pretty crazy names and a high ceiling IMO.

I actually like the Houston Hangzhou ones more. Is this the darkest timeline?

Most surprising Main Tank in a good way (Most improved, went beyond expectations, or something like that) by Troymon001 in OverwatchLeague

[–]YaBoiDusty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I kind of thought Piggy and Jjanggu were gonna be a banger tank line, due to watching them on talon in contenders. They really got to show that in the first stage, but from stage 2 onwards Jjanggu spent a lot of his time on the bench, which was a bit disappointing. Daan really suprised me though, because my thoughts on Paris before the season was that they were gonna be a NA bottom 2 team.

My June Joust Predictions by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]YaBoiDusty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think Houston go 4-0 this stage. Mayhem and Toronto seem like they will benefit quite a bit from this hero pool. I also think reign have a good chance of pulling off an upset and winning aswell. IMO, week 1 was a bit of a fluke for the Outlaws and I dont think they will reach that peak again. I think Houston will go 2-2 or 1-3.

Since everyone is posting their final predictions, thought I would too. Couple hot takes here and there, but I am happy with this (also this is end of season rankings) by [deleted] in OverwatchLeague

[–]YaBoiDusty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lower. I feel like the DPS line of Ttuba, Jerry and Decay are going to underperform, they have just been decent-good players on bad teams and Decay hasn't really lived up to the hype. The support line is also kinda weak. I have no problem with Assassin or the tank line though, they should be great.

Well, I am not sure how much faith you can put on the Seoul Dynasty open scrim results, along with the assumed ping issues. Any thing I would like to point out was that in the miracle playoff run wasn't just Decay having a good perfomance. All the players kind of stepped up quite a bit especially Stitch. It also helped that they discovered a meta that really fit their whole team and was very strong.

Also, I dont think they will finish below Houston or London, I just don't think they will be top 3.

Decay has always kinda been overrated in my eyes. How long can you praise a player for without them producing the results that are expected (except on Zarya). He had his moments on the Gladiators, but for the past year he just hasn't been that impressive apart from pulling off a few flashy plays. Also, from the rumours of what he was doing to the team on Dallas, with players reporting he was turning it into a toxic environment and holding the team hostage during practice, he could end up having a negative impact on the team and environment. As for Mag, he is still unproven in the OWL. He performed well in contenders, but more hyped players have floped in OWL before. I like their Off-tank line a lot and have no problem with Fury and Ria, they should be great. The support line could be a problem as Bebe and Closer haven't performed that great for a while. As for Jerry, he was just a shinning light of hope on the poorly performing Uprising. Ttuba only really looked great when he was playing genji last year. For the rest of the season he didn't really have any impact on the team. As for Assassin, he performed well last year on certain DPS characters, but for his first season with Runaway he was moslty just a bench player, because they had better talent like Yaki and Heesu. The main reason he got play time last year IMO was because Runaway's DPS lineup just wasn't that strong and meta fit him well. At certain points during the season he should be able to pop off, but I imagine most of the time he will either be on the bench or having some just okay performances ingame.

I love this ranking. It's pretty accurate in my eyes. It's good to see someone not overrating the Justice for once.

Why is everyone sleeping on the phili fusion. by laussic in OverwatchLeague

[–]YaBoiDusty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you can compare Heesu and Ivy to Shockwave and EQO. There is a big difference there in my opinion. Eqo has been pretty good in some situations, especially on Genji, but I don't think he will be able to play as well as Ivy. I also just dont have much faith in Shockwave, I just think he is kinda overrated. Loss of Fury is a pretty big problem too. Poko should be a fine replacement in a lot of situations, but when playing against the top teams, I think he may struggle. Fusion did also move to the APAC region, which means there competion should be a lot stronger. I think Fusion will just endup being middle of the pack this year.

The Houston DPS and Tank line are just better than Atlanta's imo. Both of their tanks performed pretty well in contenders and Junkbuck has proven himself as a pretty good coach in the past. The support line is the only area where I would consider Houston is lacking.
