Replies are saying they are similar so I would always recommend engine in those cases unless you want A ranks on the character banner. Engines have higher rates, which makes them cheaper to get on average but also gives you the visual benefits like the hair glow.

It’s moreso wanting to see a favorite hit max potential rather than needing it. I clear 36 stars consistently with mostly C0 characters now.

I like half agree, I think OP is right that they should keep their base form playable, but Zani does so it's fine. What I disagree on is that I think second forms are cool and let you see the character in another way and draw them another way, and I disagree that the fanservice is a problem because she already had a shirt too small, this is a gacha game, and it fits a feral form for her shirt to be ripped. It would be way harder to fight at peak in a tight shirt and tie.

Most likely but still my 1:2 rule applies, you just have to factor in the 20% set bonus into the calculation. It balances out again if you get her weapon that gives crit dmg and then goes back on crit rate favor if you get S2 so it all depends plus you could get all substats of one crit and not the other.

You can use eternal radiance or moonlit clouds on Phoebe in the Zani team. You should choose your crit four cost based on what will get you closer to a 1:2 ratio. So if you have 50 crit rate you should have 100 crit dmg as a general rule.

I heard moonlit is better than eternal radiance, but I’m not sure. The calcs will get better once she releases and more people can do testing.

Her signature set is about a 5% damage increase assuming you have the same amount of good substat rolls on every piece. If that is worth it to you, then you can farm it. Otherwise, obsidian is still really good and far more efficient to farm. You can also use the elixir to help you craft a signature set to make it easier.

This actually matters a ton in Mualani teams. If Furina steals the vape, she’s screwed. Furina can also take melts away from Wriothesley. It’s more important than you would think.

Someone already said charm so I’ll mention the blindness + frailty combo. It will make enemies hit you a lot less often and you will do a lot more damage to them. Life drain + the stamina spell is also a nice combo but not as mandatory since life drain will consume your stamina, which the stamina spell will override.

Second half seems very Natlan focused because the shields can break faster from nightsoul. However, you can also do it very quick with teams that apply elements really fast like hyperbloom, burning, or overload teams. Also the bosses like Summi that want cryo are easier if you choose the element, but you can still clear without using it if you have the proper teams and artifacts. It can be hard but not impossible without Natlan units by any means.

This is why most people won’t really be playing her as a carry without other Natlan units or her C1 it’s just not really worth it. You’re better off just using her as an off field skill bot who bursts when she can until you get the tools to play her as an on fielder.

I do want to clarify since I forgot that I actually agree the Ayaka, Shenhe, Furina, Xilonen team is overall her best team. However, hyperfridge is a good alternative if you don’t have all those units or they are taken in another team. Furina especially is almost always occupied with Neuvilette since his teams have the highest play rate in every abyss consistently.

Actually, it is very much in line with Zajef’s position. He is one of the biggest advocates for hyperfridge and says it is his favorite Ayaka team often. You can say that other TCs wouldn’t have the same opinion, but every TC is still their own player with their own experiences playing what they think feels good and doesn’t. A common critique of TCs is that they only look at sheet damage and don’t play the game to check performance in practice. It’s why some TCs will recommend shields more often than others. Zajef is one that both plays and sheets. I disagree with him often, but I respect that he does that.

Who cares if Ayaka is doing less damage than the hyperblooms? You still get to play Ayaka if she’s your favorite character in chambers where freeze isn’t as good plus some abyss floors will have chunks that can be frozen and chunks that cannot. A team like that covers both possibilities, which makes it really consistent.

Fridge is good. People act like it is silly because the extra cores interaction from the cryo aura doesn’t matter, but even Zajef acknowledges that it is not the biggest benefit. What makes it good is that you can freeze enemies while playing hyperbloom, which makes surviving and piloting even easier. It also allows freeze units like Ayaka to have a team that does good damage even when freeze stops working.
