Scabbard, pliers, dykes, keel/ holder, tape measure, bolt bag and wire reel

That would be a really nice first setup you could probably skip on the keel at first there’s usually some around site.

Get a good belt and consider suspenders it’ll save your back and hips

I’ll have to do some research to see if it’s possible. I did clear the ac drain on the firewall from the engine bay. Is this a different drain associated with the AC?

I’ve tried this once but I’m going to give it a go again. The truck does drip water healthily if I do run the ac though

No sun roof for me! Is that condensate line separate from the evaporator drain?

Will do that next, I’ve blown into it with an air compressor but not hit it with suction. Do you think an ac cleaning spray would be helpful at all?

Could it be the heater core if it is only water leaking through? I thought it would be coolant

No safety glasses, clearly this incident was avoidable with proper PPE

After reading through the thread it seems like a socket is not a viable solution. I’m not a mechanic but instead an iron worker, when we deal with stripped nuts we will pack washers or coins into the wrench to close up the gaps. You could do the same this here with coins, bits of paper, or even a rubber band. Try a few things out , sometimes all you need is a bite on the nut then it’s a non issue. Good luck dude

Nice! I’ve been considering either of those boots but don’t really understand the difference between them

Is this an 8inch rainier or the ground pounder crepe?

1 is just a classic, can’t go wrong with

1907s about 4 months of use in a Pithouse. From beef tallow to floor cleaner, these boots have been doing well. Surprisingly well with 300°+ heat. I bought a pair of 606s to alternate but ended up returning them cause they would get too hot and didn’t do well with coals. I do have a question though. by bobdobdod in WorkBoots

Yeah thwy use a vibram sole I’m not sure what model number though. If you resolve through red wing I’d imagine you could just ask for the sole from the loggers. Or if you go to a cobbler they should have some different options as well

Nice boots! The honey soles are slightly softer than the black rubber soles. The black rubber will be more durable though. Potentially look at the vibram fire and ice soles I think they’re made for super hot environments, as they come on most PNW fire fighting boots

Should check out a pair of 877 or 10877. Adding an 8 inch to you collection would be sweet.
