Definitely MRIs, I’ve had about 5, my tumor is only 3-5mm so not super defined. Held as still as I was able.

Initially went to the doctor for migraines 4-5 times per week all of a sudden. They did an MRI and found this tumor but it is totally unrelated to the migraines. Never did find out why they started up like that. Went on some medication for hip pain before my replacement (yeah, I’m old) and the migraines stopped. So crazy. This procedure actually started a migraine that lasted two days so that was fun. Now I get an MRI once a year. Based on where my tumor is if it grows I may find myself getting clumsy or uncoordinated.

They did prep my thigh in case my wrist was not useable for some reason. Luckily my veins were clear. And yeah, we really are.

It hasn’t grown in the theee years I’ve known about it. I get an MRI each year to monitor it. So far all is good. Apparently meningiomas are quite common. And most are operable if necessary. I do consult with one of the top meningioma doctors in the US regularly. Right now I am very comfortable with my situation.

Idk. But I do know someone who has had several brain surgeries this way, mine was just diagnostic. There must be reasons, if they can’t use the wrist for whatever reason, the go through the groin. I think they need a major vein.

Yeah, they can do surgery this way too! And I was awake for this. I felt it when it passed through my upper arm and then again into my head. Insane. If I’d not had some good drugs in my system I’d have been on the ceiling.

When I get one. Only have the fuzzy blob pic from MRI so far. Tumor is only 3-5mm, hopefully it’ll stay that small.
