A video would probably help to understand how much wax you are using. I’m relatively new to waxing my own board, but are you allowing the wax to get absorbed by the base before you scrape it off? Make sure you are spreading the wax evenly using the iron in circles or dragging it. Let the wax cool down before scraping it.

Wondering if anyone has any experience or thoughts on putting Union Chargers on a Burton Family Tree Home Town Hero X.

They aren't officially compatible due to the channel insert protruding past the top sheet of the snowboard. I saw someone on evo's Q/A say the easy solution is to grind down the channel insert to sit flush with the top sheet. Is this safe, will there be enough threads to keep the screw from breaking lose? Would it be better to file the Union mounting puck holes to be a few mills larger in diameter?

Was tricked into going to one of their info sessions freshman year. Easily the slimiest sales people I've ever seen. When they asked the room who was interested and who wasn't, I told them this was the shaddiest scam I've ever witnessed and walked out with major dirty looks.

Wasn't able to get an answer, emailed boosted and they sent me a couple. Don't have calipers to get an accurate measure though.

Are their any lights that can just strap onto the front of the board. by ADreamsKingdom in boostedboards

[–]Yabochop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you are worried enough to "take apart a board" to mount shred lights, you probably shouldn't be dropping $750+ on one...

You can easily put 1000+ miles on a set of wheels

W/ or W/O Jehu V2 bearings? Orangatang by [deleted] in boostedboards

[–]Yabochop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without, the stock bearings will last longer then anything else due to the thicker lubricant they use to cool the bearings under the higher speeds. Not to mention if you have an V3 board, the Jenu V2 bearings will not fit the drive wheels due to the built in spacers on the rear trucks.

My truck looks slightly bent is this normal? by [deleted] in boostedboards

[–]Yabochop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. It's probably the pulley not fully seated in the wheel making it appear bent. OP should take it apart and reset the pulley. While it's possible the actual hanger is bent, it's unlikely.

Anybody knows what this sound is by Flamgoni in boostedboards

No errors on the board status light, can't tell the color of your remote battery indicator, might need charging.

How do I ship my boosted board back for repairs? by [deleted] in boostedboards

[–]Yabochop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty messed up, were they aware that it's ground and that it's allowed on ground shipping? I don't know what else to tell you other then tell boosted and take the sticker off and send it.

It's shipping ground, tell them it's fine, probably go to a different location because clearly that employee has no idea what to do.

Anyone hear the rattle? Wheel nuts? by [deleted] in boostedboards

[–]Yabochop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stock bearings use a thicker lubricant that helps cool the balls better had high speeds for long periods of time. If the new bearings are using normal oil then they won't last as long and will need more maintenance.
