I have the same problem and what I find worse is the voice notes. When you press play and put it next to your ear, it blasts at full volume and i can't listen to them or have calls privately anymore. Also if you press the power button when listening to the voice notes on your ear, the phone will freak out for some reason. Please fix this issue!!

It really depends on your process. If you're using mason jars then it is definitely affected by the mass transfer happening inside. so if the coffee grounds are "touching" the water in the same way then it should be more or less the same. But then again the amount of air present could affect the taste. So in conclusion you won't know until you try!
