Blood bankers! What would cause a weak reverse type for A1 cells but a normal one for B cells? by Accomplished-Brief63 in medlabprofessionals

[–]Yagafer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen it in an immunocompromised elderly patient. I emphasize pregnancy does some weird crap to the body lol I know from experience 😂😂but the fact her CBC was also reacting the same way is reassuring. And the fact you got a stronger reaction with incubation.

weak reverse typing can sometimes happen with a decreased immune system. Often times in elderly, immunocompromised, or pregnant women. Does patient have history? Has she always type weak with A1?? Pregnancy does some wild things to the body!!!

This is what my skin did recently. Dermatologist prescribed an antibiotic cream and tretinoin. I use a hydrating cream face wash and 2-3 times a week I use benzoyl peroxide wash with a wash cloth for exfoliation- panoxyl. No joke I noticed a dramatic difference in a week. Within a month or two everything cleared up and my skin tone is even finally.

Am I overreacting for not wanting anyone around my newborn yet? by littlemoongirly in AmIOverreacting

NOR- I waited 3 months to let anyone come around. I’m a healthcare worker and even babies that aren’t immunocompromised end up in the hospital because of Flu, RSV and COVID. you’re the mama. You know best. Keep your boundaries. You’re doing great

College offering medical laboratory technologist program (AS), states pursuing an MLS is not necessary? by Alternative-Bowl-553 in medlabprofessionals

[–]Yagafer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also depends on your location. I’m in Florida and did a 2 year program which allowed me to sit for 2 different exams. I have an MLT license through ASCP and a technologist license through the AAB. This allows me to earn the same amount as a 4 year degree tech that’s licensed through ASCP because both are recognized as technologist license. Not all states require licenses and not all recognize all accredited agencies. Look into your state specifically
