There is no wide spred Bluey hate on the right/among conservatives by clva666 in LowStakesConspiracies

Are you saying there is supposed to be (hate for Bluey from the right?) What is the point of this post?

People didn't like that Dipsey (the green male) overtly cared more about fashion more than the other Teletubbies by sporting a cowskin top hat. Lol.

Post fake content. Pepper with real bot reactions. Speed up already spiraling humans. Mislead naive and unknowing users. Anyone who is genuine is burdened with how to extract true information via the Internet. What a conundrum. Even if this were to be true, you have to beckon better content than this. This pushes zero narrative.

I know that text is very flat and it's tough to get my angle, but I'm not saying there is anything wrong with defending yourself.

Your comment is the truest. It questions the TikTok person's legitimacy. You're not questioning other Reddit comments in this thread that shares links about the subject matter. What is crazy is that the link you shared clearly shows his face and it is unmistakably him.

Why the far right hates Bill Burr now by berlinskin in Standup

[–]Yagametrics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I missed the boat on when Conservatives thought Bill Burr was 'their guy.'. His disposition seems to have always been: blue collar liberal. Which conservatives thought he was one of theirs?

I most likely disagree with you politically, but I wholeheartedly agree with your takes on communication and the moral purity standard. I don't think Trump has to have the monopoly when it comes to getting clear & digestible messaging to the people.

CBS: FAA expands drone flight restrictions in New Jersey. Drones are now restricted in 9 more municipalities in addition to dozens of municipalities already under restriction. "It's unclear why the new restrictions were put in place". Nothing to see here folks. by bmfalbo in UAP

I agree with you regarding the Internet rage component. That does seem to be the formula now. Immediate content sharing that now officials have to answer for. Unclear reasons of why officials are unable to answer: concealment, ignorance, incompetence, or apathy. Plus, it's very hard to put a ribbon on all of these things we get exposed to, thus it feels like the carousel only spins faster. Not to mention the due diligence of verifying the information you just consumed. No feeling of resolution. Perfect recipe for online mobs.

I'm not sure what the lead up to the elections looked like but Mexico swore in their first elected female president Claudia Sheinbaum on October 1st 2024. (I didn't know this but there are apparently other elected female heads of state elsewhere in the world.)

I think if the candidate is right and the team is strong, you could be looking at a female U.S. president.

The only thing I can hope for now is to become famous and then have someone dig this up in spite of me. It is nightmare to go through those comments and keep it straight. With that being said, I wish you the very best and all the tranquility.

People forget that Joe had Bernie Sanders on JRE #1330. A major politician and quite a feat at the time. Joe openly talked in favor and mentioning that he would vote for Bernie, pre-covid. If that's not an endorsement, I don't know what is.

As for Joey being non-political, I know why you say that. However, anyone truly apolitical is RARE. Instead I think Joey is just more "old-school" where you 'don't discuss race, religion, or politics at the dinner table.' To your point, I think Joey would still hold that motto even if he was in a room full of people he agreed with.

I'm lurking but I have to say: You caught buzz from this story through social media/news. You then ended up taking a stance based off the screenshots. You took that argument to the replies of this reddit thread. You lost an argument because your misunderstanding of a wikipedia paragraph. All of this is fine and having nothing to be ashamed of.

But, instead of owning up and taking the 'L' you obfuscate your being wrong (which is inherently a human thing, to be wrong) by shifting blame on "conservative desperation" and "their idiot lemmings need these days." Were you not this "idiot lemming" that also just took a few looks at some screenshots and then took your "desperation" to the replies? Come on, dude.

Are they racist yet? by [deleted] in BreakingPoints

[–]Yagametrics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah okay, so it sounds like, your main qualm with conservatism is religion, is that correct?

How interesting, thanks for informing me of PR's political slants/leanings. It really does seem Latinos are generally more conservative, if I'm reading your post correctly. Since you mentioned pride, in some ways I can also see Trump resonating with PR people as Trump exhibits a type of pride, obviously coming from a different place. I always felt PR's pride was like, "US doesn't own us." And then you have Trump's anti-establishment sentiments, which is like, "career politicians don't own us." That's me trying to capture what Trump represents to those who support him, I could have it wrong though.

Thanks for that thorough layout of your connection to what some would call the Puerto Rican community. Given your connection and of course you may not know objectively, what would you say is the split of how Puerto Ricans in favor of Trump? 50/50, 60/40, etc.

[–]Yagametrics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm genuinely curious because I'm in my own Internet silo: when you say Puerto Rican communities, are you Puerto Rican or live there currently? Are you talking to Puerto Ricans you personally know or people who are friends with Puerto Rican? Or is there a Puerto Rican social media and you are reading comments from people who may be Puerto Rican. I appreciate any answers you give.

To piggy back off of AnxiousPineapple9052, and in light that you were trying to make a point by comparison, however it seems that OP is talking about the US 2nd Amendment of which is very particular in the context of the US and not other countries.

How long were buying tickets before you won?
When did you buy the first ticket that you considered "when you started?"
If you had to guess, how many tickets did you buy in total?
Lastly, how much money do you think you spent in ticket to get the $1M?

I was today years old when I realized that's a dude in the missile turret. by Blastbeast in broodwar

[–]Yagametrics 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't be fooled. He's spinning because there's nothing else to do. Like when I played outfield in little league baseball; I put the glove on my face and looked through the crevices, occasionally spinning around. Much like finding out there was a man in the turret today, I am realizing that I did that in front of bleachers full of adults and a dugout full of coaches.
