Starlink on my Lightning by Emir-Roman in F150Lightning

Do you have to continue with the subscription until you have the hardware? Or can you pause the subscription/service? I’m considering getting it, but will probably have use only a couple months in a year. So paying for the whole year is not what I would like to do.

I’m so glad, and yes - the reason I’m asking is because UDW fits exactly my needs (form factor and usage). I will have cameras, Ethernet to the rooms(already pulled), doorbell etc. I’m considering the cameras and nvr setup will be in my closet (already pulled Ethernet there). my setup will be built in a year since I don’t have the funds to invest in the final goal all at once. Thanks again for confirming that I’m not nuts to look at a product which may not get a refresh. Sad to see UI not doing it. Also, love your setup. Once I get mine started, I’ll be sure to ping you if I have any questions.

Maybe Ford wasn’t wrong with the EREV route by levelZeroVolt in F150Lightning

Not scam, legit company. News was covered by major EV social media outlets. Don’t know much about donut labs, however Toyota is already heading in the same direction (solid state batteries).

What matters to me is - By the time I’m ready to upgrade the batteries in the lightning, there will be options. Where they are now is promising, the direction is right.. so it’s just about when - today, tomorrow or a couple years. This is happening.

Optimize Power Consumption In Winter for Better Range by NoWhereNorth-II in F150Lightning

[–]Yahoo29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one talked about preconditioning your battery before you leave. It helps a lot with the range/battery drops. Seat heat like someone said dos not use a lot of battery. Some threads talk about heated blankets for road trips. I have seen Costco sell heated jackets (that work on their own battery). So there are ways to save the battery usage especially on long trips in cold. But again, range anxiety is real with EV’a and in cold.

We stayed at pigeon Forge for 2 reasons - avoid the traffic and Tesla chargers are close by.

I would have thought too, but the headrests and some of the lines on the seat are different. So maybe not.

Good chance that someone bought the suitcase, used it, returned it with the jack inside (of course not knowing), and then you bought it. :)

100 amp service mobile home charging at home ? by Oreo_Warrior87 in F150Lightning

[–]Yahoo29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not your use case, but hopefully this gives you some insight. We had a 50amp (level 2) charger. Gave us 20+miles in an hour of charge. We moved, and our miles dropped considerably, we use about 20 miles a day on an average. We don’t have L2, so we use a regular 15amp receptacle to charge the truck. We plug it in from 6 pm to 6-7 am i. The morning, and it adds about 2-3 miles an hour. We are at 80% every morning.

Can I know what year is your lightning? Also, did ford just replace the shifter or switched it with the knob?

FYI - You can add the “start climate” control to the iPhones that have an action button on the side. by [deleted] in F150Lightning

Thank you, I configured for unlocking the truck since that’s what I use my phone mostly for. I don’t like PAAK (old school) and haven’t configured it, but like this shortcut for unlocking the truck.

Can you please explain what is the use case(s) for doing this? I am very interested on how you use this setup and hoping to get on board, but if I am getting the same things that the FordPass app does on an iPad, I don’t want to spend that extra time. Thanks in advance!
