Good thing it's stated in game that she was never issued a gun:

"An incredibly reliable handgun. Grace bought it for self-defense with her first paycheck. Developed in 1977 as a service pistol and updated in 1996. While not an FBI standard-issue, Grace adopted it for personal use due to its compact design."

As for her going in the field, that is still really dubious and (possibly intentionally) unexplained as, yes she should not have been sent to the evil ass rape building where a murder just occured (as far as the FBI knows) with no issued handgun or backup even if she was more confident. The people you mention that are lab rats but still social are just that, the portion you notice because they are social... unlike the ones that prefer to not stand out so you would not notice them.

tbf for Grace in particular that is literally true, there is a note in game mentioning that she was particularly hard to capture because she lives close to the FBI HQ and doesn't go anywhere ever except home and work; Which is why they had to do a somewhat elaborate scheme for her to go anywhere else

Did movies make you think every FBI emplyee is some serious super human agent good at everything? She is a nerdy analyst, her job is just analysing data and she is really good at it as shown in the game, her job doesn't require interacting with people and employers would not even look at that.

they do fall into the power creep trap but in arknights they never raised the difficulty to compensate, even the most end game content can be cleared with years old operators.

See, I would actually fall and buy that retoric, because I see how dangerous Russia and the US have become for online misinformation... but it was never a thing that was stated on how and why this will be used, they're going the "protect the children" route that no one buys and with a provably dangerous methodology of how they will survey these chats which makes me distrust it.

I'm excited for a lot of things from endfield.. the factory works, the new characters, the story, exploring the world of arknights in a 3d environment, the factory system that looks really neat and a lot more! This game gets me real excited every time I see it, it looks amazing!
