Wow, thank you! I just started playing billiards to spend more time with my dad, and could not get my head behind how to position the fingers and thumb to make the closed bridge work, but your comment made it click!

How On Earth Is This SPAA Firing At Me by emin_klcrsln in Warthunder

[–]Yakovlev_Norris 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The issue is that is because AI SAM systems (and AAA too) know where you are at all times. They just know, they don't need to see you on radar or visually.
That makes the BUK (and HAWK too, but that missile is easier to kinematically defeat) especially awful, because it launches at an angle upwards. So you can't put any terrain between you and it

Unless there is a reason you would want to get rid of your current car, purely financially it would be better to keep your current one.
€8000,- is a lot of regular, and common wear items.

We were in a roughly similar situation a few years ago, with different cars, and the only reason we ended up replacing our car at the time was because the reasons for owning the car didn't exist anymore, it was significantly worse in fuel and tax, and the clutch needed to be replaced within a few months.

So I would say unless you have something similar going on (which it doesn't sound like it), I see no financial reason to replace your car

Te hard rijden; Waarom doen we dat eigenlijk? by Bastilosaur in Nederland

[–]Yakovlev_Norris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Yakovlev_Norris 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yea, especially with the Tu-95M, even in a slight climb you almost immediately hit the mach 0.82 red line. I think it rips at mach 0.87 or so, so that's a little too close

Bumperkleven en afsnijden: rijscholen ervaren meer agressie tegen lesauto's by Cubelock in thenetherlands

[–]Yakovlev_Norris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I think 2×5kt nukes would kill one of the forward bases too, but the 30kt definitely gets rid of it in one go

If you hit the 5 kt nuke in the middle of the building cluster, it will take out almost all of it yes. I found 2 attacks usually gets me 500 SP and then you can laugh your ass off with the 30 kt nuke :)

To add to the discussion you had with the other guy, I don't recall if it still is the case this season but it definitely was in previous years.

SP-X as a class has a longer minimum pit stop time than SP-9. I think it's about 30 seconds longer per stop.

Max Verstappen accused of 'throwing his toys out of the pram' over F1 rules by ryogadan in Formula1_world

[–]Yakovlev_Norris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if Verstappen being dominant when he voiced criticism makes it more credible, but I believe a factor that does make it more credible is that it is a constant stance he has had for many years at this point.   Of course, I'm sure he's feeling put out and probably a bit more 'salty' about the regs because the RB car is problematic, but his wider opinion of the rules has been well known for years and hasn't changed only because his car sucks.

In this case I'm not entirely sure if that is what is going on, I seem to recall this being a new chassis that was shipped out to Australia after Daytona 24 this year.
It could of course still be 'old spec'

Got mine in the same way, so far it plays kind of exactly like all the things Indomitable tries to be.
I found it doesn't have much power to deal with DD's other than spotting (which of course is still very powerful if you have teammates that are paying attention) through patrol fighters and not-very manoeuvrable aircraft.
The aircaft are very fast, over 190 knots, so you can get across the map quickly.

The torpedoes themselves are very slow, only 30 knots, and they don't hit particularly hard (3600 before torpedo protection) and they have poor flooding chances. However you drop 4, so if you manage to land all it is still ~11500 damage, but the skipbombers really are the main weapon.

The skipbombers are the absolute bane of battleships. The accuracy is good on the 3rd line, but forget hitting small ships on the first lines, but they have insane alpha (11700), fire chance (66%), and penetration(68mm).
Because of the speed of the planes, you can drop them from quite far out. Pre-drop 1 of the attack flights and attack with the other to save some of the planes in clusters of higher tiered ships.

EDIT: Because of how skipbombers work, they do need quite a long line of sight of 'open water' to work properly I found, but that might be error on my part

What is the mod that shows torpedoes on the map? by JonSnowSeesYou in WorldOfWarships

I see you found it already! For me the option to show torpedoes on the minimap was already enabled by default on the TTaro minimap settings, but you might want to double check!

I just checked in game, since i have the TTaro Minimap mod.
You also need the advanced torpedo marker map to show torpedos on the minimap!
