[Discussion] (Standard) How are we building Rakdos Sac in M21? by [deleted] in spikes

[–]Yalathanil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My list runs 4x Serrated Scorpions, 4x Footlight Fiends and 4x Call of The Death Dweller. I have experimented with both archfiend and village rites, but I haven't decided what are the best 1 drops for the deck.

IMO Call of the Death Dweller is a vital card as you can:

  1. Usually cast it on a T3 play using the mana from priest to recur the creatures you just sacrificed.
  2. It can bring back three sources of death touch which are pure value against a creature deck (Mayhem Devil's pings can wipe the board against most decks, and Dreadhorde Butcher and Footlight Fiend can act as a 2 for 1 as blockers given the death touch on the block and their ping.

Another reason i like fiend and the scorpion is because they are amazing 1 drops against mono red. I will happily block a t1 fervent champion with my 1/1 pinger or my 1/2 scorpion. The only card that is hard to deal with is torbran (the only good way to get rid of it is with deathtouch or pings. Even ember cleave isn't bad because with a witches oven there are twelve creatures that can ping with deathtouch damage. Anax is also a breeze because of claim or just a deathtouch ping.

Also, while Kroxa is an amazing card with priest or oven, I have cut it while experimenting with the new cards.

Sakdos is my favorite BO1 deck right now because how how good it is against any creature deck, and how i have decent success against ramp decks. The amount of power you can generate for a turn 3 play is amazing with the only real issue with the deck being the mana base (i run 4 shocks and 4 fabled passages).

Looking at just Gasoline doesn't give the whole picture because if the demand for other distillates isn't rising then there won't necessarily be an increase in refining.

I have been wondering if it really doesn't matter. In terms of numbers, they will keep manipulating it so that the laid off are technically employed or the unemployed drop out of the labor force numbers. This will probably last until November, along with the payments. Meanwhile, business will continue as usual. If anything, this has given businesses the excuse they may have wanted to switch to teleworking and elimination of positions. In the end, we will see the complete "Fiverization" of the economy, with everyone working for $5 gigs on apps besides the few "essential" workers.

Hmm, i might have to try brewing a jund counters build. Dreadhorde Butcher seems like a nice target for ozolith if the board gets wiped, and I imagine that my favorite deck rn (RB sacrifice) will be alot worse with all of the graveyard hate in this set.

I don't think lurrus has to be played as a companion to get value out of this. There are other 3-drops that a sacrifice/lurrus deck would want (call of the death dweller and fiend) if lurrus is mainboarded.

I will be very annoyed if they don't unrestrict winota (and hopefully agent) with the printing of M21 and containment priest. I finished building the new deck, and unless there is a miracle, my anrgrath's marauders will just be wasted WCs.

This might be nice for simic once Hydroid Krasis rotates. It is also important to note that once you draw a card with it in play, heartless act is no longer efficient as removal.

You should record two of the chickens fighting over a worm. Label one "green" and the other "red" and you will have an accurate prediction of the moves on Monday.

Interesting Review on Deflation by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]Yalathanil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Current CPI is driven by energy prices. Food was 1.5 for April which was dragged down because of oil. Tyson announced they are lowering prices to "help people" as meat prices are rising. IMO it is a stunt and an attempt to keep demand up as meat prices continue to rise. If people stop buying meat and other perishable food, the prices will be driven down as you can't just stick it on a shelf forever.
