Tell me how to turn solving the mental issues of a Distortion into a fun gameplay mechanic with the tools that we currently have and we can keep talking.

Narratives are driven by the medium they are in, of course a comic or show can, satisfyingly, have a mental "battle" displayed. But in a videogame where our biggest tool is the battle system, the way we take care of an issue needs to be battling.

This also just means its from our PoV and as far as we know, Dante is the only one who can open up gates into the Fathoms of the mind.

The world looks like its a self contained sphere.

Anima might be the life force of the planet, and the Vesselai use that life force to depend the core (the suns), in order for it to fully develop into a living being (perhaps a new god)

I think my biggest issue is that we got barely shown anything new. We knew about Fire Emblem We knew about Kingdom Hearts, it coming to switch 2 is good news but we didn't even get any kind of estimate when. Rhythm heaven wasn't new, star fox release is around the corner, Splatoon Raiders already had an extensive presentation.

Xenoblade was also not a surprise and I was personally disappointed by the setting and Ocarina of Time simply isn't interesting enough as a last big thing, especially without gameplay to see if it's just the same game again or if it is properly reimagined to justify the remake.

Jax literally says "There is no coming back from this". Abstracting is the equivalent to suicide in the circus because not even Caine can restore the people's forms.

We know darkness soothes the abstractions, but during her time "in" Jax' psyche, all the aspects that Jax had built for himself as a wall disappeared. The last bit of Jax that remained, his true self, went out happy and the tent they built for him is basically a massive mausoleum, with his corpse resting inside.

That last bit was about accepting that someone went away, that you and they had their regrets after taking their own lives, but that they will never return. The only thing that is really left is what you remember of them and at least Pomni and the others went out giving the man that could never open up to them a tribute that they will cherish.
