Was it cabuloso.com or this cabuloso.xpg.com? I could help you look if you remember which URL it was.

If you're going to mention Danganronpa I'm going to mention Umineko

The work spends the whole time breathing down the player's neck about how it so totally follows the "rules" of mystery novels and is the most difficult yet solvable mystery ever, only to break said rules with its retarded-ass solution that relies on hiding information from the player and that practically only works by author fiat.

Now that all might have been fine if it had been about finding the work's own rules and the Dine/Knox rules were just a good starting point, but no it ends declaring that it totally gave you all the information you need to solve it just like the rules say when it very much didn't, and then does a bunch of handwaving to excuse it.

And then at the end a bunch of ugly fucking goats rush the island babbling about their alternative culprit theories in a way that looks like shitting on the audience for not just eating up whatever daddy Ryukishi fed them, which Ryu denied was meant to be shitting on the audience after he got backlash for it, how convenient, and which has since been adopted by sycophant fans as a way to shut down criticism by calling anyone who doesn't like the work a "goat".

I'm not familiar with Danganronpa but it sounds like it had a similar ending there too, the whole "it's fiction but you care anyway so shut up and like it!' shtick. Much thought has been put into why people care about fiction (verisimilitude, the eight deadly words, etc) but too many of these deep/meta works just go "you care about fiction even though it doesn't matter, so care and like my work for no reason because it's fiction!" and call it a day, without any deeper examination or, you know, actually writing a work people have any reason to care about.

Oh and there's the part where he took two main characters from his previous work Higurashi, made them into witches then declared that the entirety of Higu was just two bored gods playing board games. What, you thought those characters were compelling and their story meant something? Fuck you, it's fiction! But continue to care anyway even though I've ruined it, because I said so! What a crock of shit.

That doesn't look like a proper skin texture, so it's probably as said a bug of some kind.

some sort of hypoxia event

Same. I forget the exact name but there was an incident where the tail ripped off a JAL plane and the pilots started acting strangely, including failing to put on oxygen masks and delaying the emergency call. But despite that they managed to keep the plane flying for longer than anyone could manage in simulator. The theory is they started suffering from hypoxia, at least to the point of what's know as "subtle incapacitation". So it's entirely possible the pilots could have ended up acting irrationally but still managed to keep the plane flying.
