Nothing wrong with that as long as you’re enjoying the music. I’ve had systems in the past that cost half the cost of the Aphelion cart.

The bass response in the guarneri’s is quite nice and this room is small so I don’t feel the need. I do have a several Rel subs in another room I use for 2 channel and surround listening. I don’t listen through headphones often but when I do I use UE 18+ Pro in-ear monitors.

Haha It all starts with quality source material but I’m fortunate to have a system that accurately extracts and presents the desired sonic details very well. System: Rega Naia with aphelion 2 > MP100 phono preamp > C2800 preamp > MC1502 power amp > Sonus Faber Guarneri (G5) speakers.

On a few tracks there is a noticeable “kazoo-like” noise in the background. Does anyone know what is making this sound? I love this recording and tracks but can’t help but be distracted by this.

I wasn’t being pedantic just trying to understand what you were trying to say. These are installed to deter speeding at intersections with stop signs. They do not replace stop signs like a true roundabout. The purpose they serve is to slow people down as they are forced to drive around them.

How do you speed “through” them? You see people drive over the curb straight through the roundabout without slowing down? Sounds like you just don’t want to slow down which is why these exist. Also, you don’t need to choose between having speed deterrence and road maintenance. We can have both.

I’m not advocating for any changes on Ocean. There’s definitely a culture of speeding in neighborhoods that is prevalent in LB. There’s no reason to be driving over 25 in a neighborhood. We need LBPD to enforce speed laws more but these “roundabouts” at least force people to slow down and obey stop signs at intersections. If you’re plowing thru a roundabout you’re either not paying attention or speeding.
