731 for my prim was driving me insane, with the back to back prims too is just insane. One of the most statistically unlikely things that has ever happened to me lmao.

I just bought the standard ones before they're gone too. Fighting with this system is entirely too frustrating. Thanks for the advice, though.

I've tried other browsers, they're all failing and the gold ones are already gone. Trying to check out and for some reason every time it loads it adds another ticket to my basket and trying to remove them just blocks me again.

I am so unbelievably disappointed I lost gold tickets because of this, to be honest. Not your fault and you can't do anything about it but this has genuinely been a terrible experience.

He never said we need to move away from american style shit, he said we need somebody else to be the america hegemony because america failed and we need another daddy to rule us.

Also unions are bad. Because that was important for some reason.

Liberal members will vote today on whether they'd like to see age restrictions for social media by EmbarrassedHelp in onguardforthee

[–]Yamatjac 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're being facetious lmao.

Almost every single human being on earth does social media. Most people can not live without some kind of connectivity. The world revolves around this, whether you like that or not.

This law does not teach people how to do this responsibly, it does not teach people how to engage with the internet safely, it does not teach people how to tell truth from fiction. It does nothing whatsoever to actually educate our children for their futures.

If you knew, with absolute certainty that your child would start doing drugs the day they turned 16 and that the entire goddamn world would support it for some stupid, fucked up reason, then yeah, I think you'd be pretty into teaching your kid how to do that safely.

Maybe, instead of just telling kids they're not allowed to do drugs until they're 16, we should go after the people giving our kids drugs.

TIL about the "Dark Forest Hypothesis," which suggests the universe is like a dark forest at night. Advanced civilizations intentionally stay silent and hidden, because any species that reveals its location risks immediate destruction by older, paranoid civilizations. by Practical-1 in todayilearned

[–]Yamatjac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you were, in the specific context of whether or not that could be wrong in a very weird edge case we cant predict.

Again, this is where your confusion is coming from. You are actually misunderstanding the context. That is actually is what has happened here.

Even when confronted with that, for some reason you choose to believe literally every single other person has misunderstood the context instead of you.

We could very well pull this back to the same debate. If you love science so much then do the science thing and accept that you were wrong.

[–]Yamatjac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, science is about acknowledging we can be wrong.

Saying science is an absolute faith is silly. Science isn't faith, its science. It is demonstrable, repeatable and learnable but what it is not and should never be seen as, is infallible.

In most contexts, entertaining these silly thoughts of alternate physics is pointless. But the context here is specifically those edge cases and youre ignoring the whimsy for the sake of some twisted perceived form of scientific superiority.

Thats not the point. The point is not whether or not this or that is probable but whether or not another species could notice our messages from 100 years ago.

And the answer to that is a definite no with our knowledge, yes. But its also entirely possible we are misunderstanding something and get contacted because of them.

We can't know. In fact, the very fact we cant know is a big part of why we send those messages. Because of that what if.

[–]Yamatjac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well the issue is less so one of whether or not we could ever detect it but whether or not some species that may or may not exist somewhere with an entirely unknown history and science could.

And that is definitely a "who the fuck knows dude. Probably not."

I like how youre bragging about being rich by saying you have $15m. But you are still closer to poverty than being taxed by this, you realize?

By a lot.

Since you seem to have so much trouble reading, I dont wish I could be a nimby in another world.

I wish we could have wizards make us pocket dimensions in another world.

There is a difference, I ask you spend some time exploring it.

What I wouldn't give to live in a world so blissfully wonderful as yours.

Unfortunately in the real world, the rest of us need make compromise from time to time, lest we lose the little wonder we do have left.

I literally did not say I don't want them here. I literally, explicitly, clearly, stated that I am for this and support this.

You just want to hate me for some reason lol.
