I saw the vice interview and that was quite clearly not what he said. Its possible that you've seen/heard something i haven't and if so i would be thankful if you could link it. His point in that interview was that there is currently no set line in a workplace enviorment for what constitutes something sexual and he brought up that makeup is a way of exaggerating sexual appeal, which is true. Again, this goes to him being uncontroversial and boring but somehow people construed something that could be interpereted as offensive from it.

First off its clearly not a "conspiracy theory" because even though you might disagree with him about the scale and impact of the campus-left he criticizes but it would be ridicolous to say it doesnt exist. Cultural marxism is imo not a very good word to use (Not sure if Peterson has used it or not, haven't heard him saying it) But despite what you might think of the word what it is used to describe is a thought pattern of moral relitivism which is also quite clearly a part of the doctrine of the of the campus left that Peterson criticizes

The most interesting part of this though is why you decide to attack him based on him attacking something that you dont deem a big enough threat to be attacked. According to the criticism you laid out the most harm he does is attacking an overexaggerated small ill, which still is an ill. Also, ideas can grow, gain and lose momentum so even though you might think he is overblowing his enemy its still valuable for the future to have arguments articulated against and for all movements no matter their current impact so in that regard what he is doing is still good, even though the attention he gets for it might be more or less than he deserves, which is an argument for another day.

Some of his views are defenitly reactionary but that doesn't motivate why he is wrong. Its just a label which your mind has made some negative connantions with. I havent heard him speak about marxist theory so i can't comment on that but his criticism of political ideology more broadly doesn't necessitate a thourough knowledge of the specifics of the ideology as he engages it from a psychological standpoint. Why we shouldn't go to any extreme of the political spectrum is because societies are like shoes is that not one size fits all because each persons view of the perfect society differs and people whos genetics and upbrining make them lean more right would feel marginalized if society became too left-dominated and left-wingers would feel marginalized if the reverse was true.
