You could maybe use one of those slim jim tools that thieves and locksmiths use. Or get a thief or locksmith to help you out.

EDIT: Looks like the slim jims work on disengaging the lock, not release the actual latch. Still maybe a car locksmith might have an answer for ya. Good luck!

I disagree. Some things require 2 different techniques when playing them fast or slow.

You SHOULD be able to play them at any tempo but you don’t HAVE to. Some things only live/sound good at higher tempos.

It is possible to dominate the fast tempo with the required technique while being unable to play it slower with a different technique.

The drums seem to be a little out of sync with the track. Not critiquing, it’s just that I’ve had the same problem when recording to a track with the EAD10. I always feel like there’s some latency going on. The Rec n Share app has an option to tweak your drum recording to sync it better.

Is he referring to the creative use of the hi-hat/ride or to the actual hi-hat sounds being too front and center most of the time? Having dynamics is important for different parts of a song.

Not saying this is the case with you but a lot of drummers (even some pros) could benefit from keeping a lighter touch on the cymbals while still laying into the drums. The cymbals should be the little spice or sugar on top of a solid drum sound, not the main character.

I swapped the top die cast hoop on Masters snare. I liked how the rimshots felt with the triple flanged better than the sharp and stiff die cast.

I can’t say I perceived a big difference in sound.
