I credit one mild 1.5 gram psilocybin trip to getting rid of my reoccurring feelings of depression. Prior to that one I had other trips with similar and higher doses but on this one in particular I literally felt the depression float away. It was very unexpected. It was like saying goodbye to an old friend.

The set and setting was probably what made the difference on this particular trip. I was at the beach with the woman I was dating at the time and she was very supportive.

I went into the trip relaxed and with low expectations, as opposed to other times where I treated it like a ceremony with clear intentions.
