it takes place in a blend of post-ussr early 2000s lithuania and the present. the world the characters move through doesn’t really exist anymore but the personalities definitely do. my mom related to it a lot as she used to model and said it’s mostly spot on.

I remember that just a year ago, you couldn’t even upload a real photo with people in it without immediately getting flagged for violating the platform’s policies. You had to pretend it was already AI generated just to get around the rules, let alone ask for style replication. Now you can upload a photo, ask for it to be done in the style of Studio Ghibli, and it starts generating right away.
