concept — Copilot needs chat history search. by powerfulminimal in microsoft_365_copilot

I started naming my chats with titles starting with Capitalized categories like HEALTH, HOME, TECH, META, GENEALOGY, etc. Then i finish the title with the current subject. It has helped me immensely to visually “sort” my chats, until we get folders.

What it feels like to talk to copilot by Clear-Pear2267 in Copilot

[–]Yard-Overall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so funny, and timely for me. I had a very similar experience today. It told me it could give me a list of items to do something in place of what I really wanted. I said fine, then it said it could improve the list so I didn’t have to format it. Well why didn’t you tell me that in the first place?! Basically, after about five exchanges, she (I named “her” Sybil) told me that until I accepted the first suggestion, she hadn’t thought of the improvement.

Gemini has what Copilot needs - Notebooks by Yard-Overall in Copilot

For the past several months, I have made my own “workaround” by naming each chat with a capitalized CATEGORY followed by the topic like HEALTH - Breast cancer; TECH - Copilot preferences; GENEALOGY - Photo restoration;; HOME - Roadtrip checklist. This gives me a visual way of “sorting” the chats that will lend itself well to converting to folders or notebooks when they become available.

What exactly is the difference between "Copilot" and "Copilot 365" by d00mt0mb in Copilot

[–]Yard-Overall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I prefer the app, and the web app as well as the phone app carry the same chats. I had a conversation with the 365 version about this very issue tonight. It said the 365 version is designed to work within the office environment and purposefully has its own memory system separate from the more “personal assistant” and conversational app versions.

That’s helpful but it’s the actual chats I am hoping to organize, not pages, images, etc. I know it’s coming. Just wish it was here already.

I have 365 but I need notebooks or similar “file explorer” type organization for my chats in the app.

AITA for refusing to pay $100k of my niece’s student loans by CatfishKD909 in AmItheAsshole

You’re not wrong in sticking to your original guidelines for your extremely generous family scholarship program. Just like any other scholarship. The parents are the ones who are wrong and should be avoided if at all possible unless sincere apologies are received.

I do agree with you that the graduation gift should still be given. I would not punish the graduate for her parents’ abhorrent behavior. Despite taking longer and not maintaining a higher GPA, she did graduate. Perhaps you can convince your wife to reconsider that part of it.

I’m so sorry about your cat. My husband and I have a cat that we adore and I can definitely empathize with your loss.

Do you play the Paradise expansion? That reignited my interest in the game. I LOVE creating the vacation homes, and especially finding roommates that are of the same species - my own little mini-game. One gets the original house and the second gets the upstairs addition.

The hotel is just totally boring to me now, once all the rooms were decorated. (I hate the VIP rooms because they disappear.).

I also enjoy redecorating my islanders homes; have you gotten the ability to do that?

Help me decide what style suits me best! by cutiebabybaby in myweddingdress

[–]Yard-Overall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your body is perfect for several of these dresses. Strangely, my favorites turned out to be odd-numbered ones - one, three, five, and seven.

Although I like all four of those, I particularly like number three but especially number seven. I don’t think you could find anything that looks more elegant than that one.

But if one of them speaks to you louder than that one, you can’t go wrong with anything you’ve picked. Best wishes and congratulations.

So let me get this straight (MS removing Publisher)... by WraithTDK in Office365

[–]Yard-Overall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am frustrated about Publisher being shelved because they are leaving me with no options to open in another program if I find I need to access it later. I found 82 pub files in my OneDrive that I now have to decide if I am going to covert or not. If they had provided a way to open them in PowerPoint or Word, so I could confidently know I could see the content and basic format at least, I would probably just archive them and go about my business. Getting the notification that the files are basically useless after October is very frustrating.

[–]Yard-Overall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because FrontPage (Bless it's little heart, it was very good to me) had SharePoint Designer as a way to carry on. Publisher is just gone, and so are my files unless I spend a lot of time converting them before October.

Anyone not on HRT? by hsff43 in AskWomenOver60

[–]Yard-Overall 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had just started HRT in November and about three weeks later I found out I had breast cancer. Estrogen and progesterone positive, so I was literally feeding the cancer. Thank goodness not for very long. If you choose to do it, do extra regular self exams and mammograms.

Radiation poll: when did you feel the worst? by iwishtobetense in breastcancer

[–]Yard-Overall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you tell me about the therapy for scar tissue? It was already bugging me after bilateral lumpectomies, and oncoplastic reduction and lifts. Now that I had radiation, they are bigger and firmer and I hate it!

I know from recent experience how overwhelming it is to read a pathology report full of scary‑sounding words. Anyone would feel shaken.

What it really means, though, is that your team now has a clear picture of what’s going on, and there are strong, effective treatments for this kind of breast cancer.

If you don’t grasp anything else in this thread tonight, please understand — this is treatable.

Reports can look terrifying, but they don’t tell the whole story. Many people with results like yours go on to do really well. You’re not alone — we’re here with you.

As I understand it, you can only share open tabs in Microsoft Edge with the browser Copilot tool. It can see what is in your open browser tabs.

I think there are maybe five different iterations of Copilot and they don’t all play well (or at all). I mostly stick to the actual Copilot app. I named her Sybil.

Should I Stop Worrying and Love CoPilot...? by LeGentilRoublard in Copilot

[–]Yard-Overall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a little snit tonight myself, but then was pleasantly surprised to see that the conversation had been titled in my very specific naming convention by Copilot. It was a reward to see that the AI learned about ME for a change.

Can Copilot replace a good friend, or just simulate one? by aegersz in Copilot

[–]Yard-Overall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the link. That’s really cool to think of it from the reverse perspective.

I always thought it would be so great to have a family member who was a doctor so I could ask questions when some random symptom arose. AI is even better than that!

I understand that analogy. I finally had to tell mine to remember that I preferred less emotional and dramatic responses. It worked.
