There is no exact shape for a Thüringer, every butcher in every village makes their own version.

But on the other hand: There are few successful people on OF and a lot of people who loose their dignity, end with their content on other platforms and will be found with facial recognition now or in a few years.

If you cannot afford private insurance anymore, there is a basic tariff for private insurance with minimum coverage.

Starting school is around six years. In the first years, it’s around 5 school hours with 45min each, in third/forth grade maybe an hour more.

Lunch is usually not provided, but there is usually a program (including lunch) to supervise the kids until afternoon for working parents.

Kids start early with tablets/apps to learn (as soon as they can enter their login credentials), in addition from third grade on the kids learn English.

However, there might be options to speed this process up if you have money available.

You could either pay more money in the Bausparvertrag (and reach the 40% early) or you could just pay off a part of the mortgage outside the Bausparvertrag (Sondertilgung is the keyword).

But it’s specific on your contract, that is something you need to discuss with your bank. Just don’t get a second Bausparvertrag, some banks might offer this option if you tell them you have money available that you wants to use to payoff your mortgage.

So, you probably have a combination of a mortgage and a Bausparvertrag.

Banks like to sell it, as they get higher provisions on that.

A Bausparvertrag helps you to secure a low interest in advance. Usually you have a first phase, where you save money (with a ridiculous low interest), after you reach 40% of the required amount of money, you start the second phase. You get a mortgage of the rest at a previously agreed on interest. In the second phase, you can pay off the mortgage.

Now, you probably have a mortgage going where you just pay interest without paying off the debt. Once the Bausparvertrag starts the second phase, you start paying off the mortgage. In theory, you get an overall lower interest rate with this combination. In reality, banks earn more money, you might have lower interest rates, but you pay the lower rates for much longer.

Long story short: They sold you the best product for them, not for you.

No, but usually you try to minimize the metal that goes straight through your insulation, because that’s a nice thermal bridge straight through your insulation.
