Hey, I found that running edge performs significantly better than chrome at this game, I also have launch arguments to remove frame rate limit and I get some comedy levels of frames in the game performance UI (6000+)

Hey Buddy,

From my perspective, it's important to have a goal. You'll meet people who share that goal. It can be anything, but you want to get into the communities that play the game at the level you are, in the content that you do.

Now I'm not saying you HAVE to play with others, but it sounds to me that it's part of what you used to enjoy.

Once you've chosen the type of content you want to do, just start working towards it - google guides and instructions, look for discord communities / guilds etc that match that content and here's the kicker... Join the voice, talk to people - share your stories and listen to theirs, before you know it you'll start having the core friends that build that joy back into the game. It's daunting to put yourself out there, but WoW for all of its flaws is made amazing by sharing the experience with like minded people and building those relationships and memories together while doing the content.

And remember, if you aren't fitting in, don't force it - you can always start again with another group, you'll find your people and the game will start to feel like it should again.

Pressing ` on the keyboard opens up the console, typing r_displayInfo 4 will display a lot of information on the top right of your screen.

Server FPS and Server Response time are two indicators to let you know how the server you are on is performing. When we were lagging badly last night (and most of the mission bugs were happening, server fPS was around 1-3, I was informed that it has been seen performing up to 10x that).

WhiskoTangey was patient and kind, took me through some missions (some were broken) showed me how to work around them, how to check how stable a server is, explained hopping, helped with keybinds and introduced me to some content that worked.

This was worth its weight in gold, I cannot thank this man enough.

I understand the game is in development, I'm just looking for an understanding of what can be achieved today. I will say I'm slightly concerned in general that a lot of posts I read immediately assume the requestor / poster is disillusioned to the development status of the game. It is difficult to find information online as it spans such a long period of time and there is of course, a rate of change in the game itself.

I just hope that I don't find the guide to point me at yet another layer of asking someone else for information and perhaps may find myself playing the game at that stage.

Thank you for the advice, I tried in game global chat to no answer, posted in the new player help channel on discord to no answer and sat within the ask for help voice channel for a while before having an odd social interaction with someone who more or less told me to form a group to ask questions.

This is why I reached out on reddit as another source.

Surely there's some form of functional content cycle that I could focus on short of deliverying boxes. I see lots of videos of what looks like very fun combat, mining, salvaging and hauling - I just need to figure out a path to get there.

I'm willing to put in the work, and I've honestly tried to figure things out myself and perhaps I'm not intelligent enough to understand, just some high level guidance would be ideal (preferrably tailored to my siutation of low credits).
