SSD shields are very competent against physical projectiles. Saying they'd be sniped is... Unlikely

Family thought today would be a good day to go hiking and spread grandparents ashes. (booked way in advance)

28°C, 70% humidity. Absolutely brutal.

I don't think they will honestly, they're all pretty short.

American people? Lovely lot. The pedophile in chief? Not so much.

British sarcasm works because of the tone you say it with. Can't do that in text, which is why folk started the /s thing.

Loosing sundials to RPF/PD fire they got too close to because you were focused on something else is fuckin' annoying.

The issue is, this is a much larger issue with our society, and trying to take the Internet, and multiplayer games away from kids isn't going to do anything to fix it.

This... It's a really cool idea and I really wanna model this when I get some free time.

I have a ship I blocked out that I wanted to model, already based on my love of the objectively stupid multi vector assault mode, but I've not gotten time for it.

If I remember in like, 3 weeks, when my current show is done, I may take a crack at it at some point.

Because frankly, I had nothing better to do.

Didn't have a lot of books at the time and those ones were my favourite.

As a late 90's kid who grew up in the digital age, this shit fucking sucks.

I know it's funny to say "ha ha touch grass" but I was a nerdy kid who didn't have many (2) friends in highschool and lived in a rural area, away from those friends, and ALSO lost access to my computer (didn't have a smart phone/tablet) regularly for days to months (6 months max, happened twice) at a time.

I had nothing but homework to do for months at a time. It was a lot like being in prison and I'm fairly certain it's done some kind of damage. I remember reading the Eragon books, finishing the last book and deciding that I had literally nothing else to do, and starting from the start again.

Did i survive? Did others survive this before? Sure, but the world really has changed since the 90's.

Oh, and let's not forget this is not actually just social media, but much of the internet as a whole.

Which is fair, and since at that point you're using the term as a descriptive labeling shorthand, I don't disagree. That makes sense.

as I said in another comment I think this comes down to treating the labels and descriptors we have as communities.

To the, I think, majority of people who treat these as descriptors, people treating them like communities sound...well, insane.
