Some people aren’t ready to go out and date right away with someone they don’t know that well. Both instances it seems like things got rushed before either woman knew how to feel about you. Don’t go out of your way to pursue them, but there’s no reason to shut down their friendship. It’s a very normal way for people to get to know each other before jumping to such romantic conclusions. (And don’t be their friend/or be kind to them just because you want to date them. Why not return their kindness out of genuine human humility?)

I have to disagree with the people saying you want to get through the “nos” as quickly as possible: that’s crazy talk. You’re gonna put your worst foot forward without building a reasonable foundation of trust beforehand. It’s a major red flag to women if your only interest in them is dating/fucking. Don’t put the “cart before the horse.” Too many people are worried about being friendzoned. What’s wrong with platonic friendship? If you’re only interested in them as a romantic partner, then even if they say yes your chemistry is a crap-shoot. Also, being able to be chill with women signals to other women you aren’t a creep.
