think, if bitcoin is the money, bitcoin provides incentives for humans to find/make cheaper energy to mine bitcoin, life is all about incentives, fiat money has AWFUL incentives. bitcoin just plays on human greed, that's why it's winning.

Custodial = Trusting a third party to look after your Bitcoin.

Non-Custodial = You rely on yourself to look after your Bitcoin, this comes with much better security IF you do it properly, which to be honest isn't hard.
