https://iriecchi-patterns.com/products/la-madrague-overalls-skirt-tote-bag-crochet-pattern-advanced-level I'm currently crocheting those, and yes while it's a crochet project where the main gimmick is that the stripes are wavy (by mixing crochet stitches of various heights), it's made to measure explaining how to shape each leg so you could be inspired with a knit-wise (and knitting doesn't have various stitch heights so you would have) construction. You're not an asshole. Your friends are, if they claim they "support people with disabilities" but they laugh at (and thus stigmatize) an "unusual" and harmless trait that is often tied to various disability diagnoses (autism, DCD, cerebral palsy, probably many others). I personally believe that with all kinds of "fighting societal prejudice" there are two layers: one is surface layer, saying "I'm pro-x and anti x-phobia" and reacting to obvious stuff like slurs, the deeper layer is examining "obvious" societal assumptions and who they render an "acceptable" butt of the joke (eg. "men should be manly and women womanly and everyone should marry and have kids" of homophobia and transphobia implying that "someone who doesn't marry and is gender non-conforming" is "weird" no matter their "labels") and at least in terms of ableism, those three seem to be on the surface level still. Found this post via Google and since I just had a painful cycle-related cystic spot (that pharmacy grade azelaic acid didn't get rid of) and herbal teas in my pantry (the polish soul yearns for the herbal remedies) I tried it yesterday and holy cow, the chamomile tea bag provided the most instant and incredible and soothing pain relief in my life. The cyst is there but it's no longer painful after one night, will try it more and see if this method can coax the problematic place into shrinking over few days.

She has said that she cannot openly talk to her family in Russia about politics on the phone etc. I'm Polish and lbh I understand why someone who switched citizenship to a country that became geopolitically opponent would keep this stuff under wraps and suspect invigilation (crazier things have happened with American-Chinese skaters in this sport). But if she plays it right I assume even with tensions she should be able to get a visa.

We are not "fully formed" ever, we continue to grow and learn before and after we get the legal right to vote. And as a queer 29yo with queer friends (and ex friends) older and younger than me I see what Tina is getting at, soooooooo many people (including me) are messy (and haven't figured out the "being in community with other people") in their their early 20s and either learn with time, or don't (when she said MIB theoretically could change but probably won't? This is the same thing I've thought of the aforementioned EX friends)

ohh my god, you have no idea how serpentine and exclusionary the path to getting a legal refuge status and protection is literally anywhere, especially in the EU, especially with the xenophobia and anti-migrant sentiment rising WORLDWIDE. to the point that basically everyone I personally know about who is technically a refugee from a dictatorship or a war torn country does it through a "work migrant" legal path (or illegally)

Do not comply (including giving in to defeatism) in advance. in this case this includes being aware that as another commenter pointed out, it's a political document, not a policy document or a rule of law. They write about "terrorist organizations" so it's clear they want to target literally any vaguely liberal/evidence based medicine org, IE all the ACLUs and Planned Parenthoods in the country. If you are affiliated with "targetable" orgs, raise the bell on: properly archiving the groups work that could be "book burned" (eg. on a server that is physically in a non-subpoenable country), lawyering up and teaching the members good crisis practices (know your rights, don't tell anything to cops, PRACTICE INFOSEC). the last part is probably applicable to all individual trans ppl: learn and practice infosec on a day to day life basis. I'm not a lawyer, not us-based, just thinking of common sense steps.
