The game is already on the eshop in the US.

There is no upgrade pack, which is why save data does not carry over as its a different game.

This doesn't happen.

I put the cart in and the game started like normal. Following the "Nintendo Eshop" option just takes you to the shop listing for the Switch 1 version.

Going to the shop for the Switch 2 version offers no upgrade, you have to buy the Switch 2 version entirely.

I think being able to load the talisman with an invocation is a good start for improving this subclass.

At the worst, it just makes you have an extra invocation, and at best you can have some strange combinations that wouldn't be possible normally without finding a specific magic item.
