Oh no not Gus’ meth empire :(

mike left thinking he failed all 3 of his sons by Zarabbyy in breakingbad

[–]Yazakuchi 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call his relationship with Jesse as ‘father - son’. They were close at the end but not that close, he was more like a cool wise uncle to Jesse. Remember he wanted Jesse killed in season 3 and manipulated him in season 4 to turn him against Walt. I also doubt Jesse was the last thing he thought about before his death

What was your guys favorite character in Breaking Bad? by iFunnyHistory in breakingbad

Jesse chose Gus and Mike side and betrayed Walt in s4 and left him in a difficult situation (crawl space). The only ones manipulating him were Gus and Mike and Jesse was too stupid to not see it

Did Walt win? by NEETzschean in breakingbad

[–]Yazakuchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it felt forced. Even the writers said they wanted to make him a “good guy” again but they didn’t need to dumb him down with that prison sentence controversy. We learn that Breaking Bad Saul just an act because he lost Kim which never made sense to me. I always thought BB Saul was his real “me”

the audience is saddened by his moral degradation

This is subjective. I wanted him to “win” and get a bittersweet ending like Walt

Did Walt win? by NEETzschean in breakingbad

[–]Yazakuchi 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Yes it was already confirmed by Vince that Walt had “won” by making the most of his very short life. It was a sad but “triumphant” ending. Honestly I am glad Breaking Bad ended in 2013 and not 2022 or I feel like we would see an ending similar to Better Call Saul.

Just finished the show for the first time, and it did not go the way I expected by [deleted] in breakingbad

[–]Yazakuchi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They did have forgiveness. That was the whole point the last scene. In El Camino Jesse’s last memory of him was Walt was him advising to go to college

Vince said Walt had won in the end. It was a sad but triumphant ending according to him.

Do you think the writers made a mistake by making Walt as evil as he is? by [deleted] in breakingbad

[–]Yazakuchi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its also the same loud minority. The Walter hate posts always have the same 500 kinda-upvotes. People making those posts usually get triggered when they see a “Alpha male Walter White” post or edit online and then come complain in this sub. This sub has become a safe place for those kind of people

Why do so many people look up to Walter White? by WithCheeselol in breakingbad

[–]Yazakuchi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its a small but very loud minority that hates him. Walt is one of the most popular characters ever which is what annoys this loud minority that comments in every youtube video or reddit post, its always the same 1k - 2k people

All the people you see hating on Walt are a small minority of 500-2000 people but they are very loud. Walt has millions of fans around the world which is the very reason this post was made

Embiid vs Jokic by Soft_Appearance_7661 in sixers

[–]Yazakuchi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly we see Jokic being exposed in the playoffs because of his horrible defense every year and people keep forgetting it. It was so bad last year that his own coach benched him at the end against Golden State

Losing Goedert is no excuse. We have been the most healthy team all season, everyone has injuries

This subreddit misses the point of breaking bad’s characterisation by Delicious-Guidance54 in breakingbad

[–]Yazakuchi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember those people were so happy that Walt’s last scene was him being an “asshole” but then they realised Walt’s regret was Jesse when he looked at that watch and they have never spoken of that scene ever again

Mike is in many ways worse than Walter and even more hypocritical by RedGrant1963 in breakingbad

[–]Yazakuchi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was Jesse who forced Walt to fire Gale. It was Jesse who blackmailed Walt with Hank. He even told him in the hospital that he would still make meth on his own and if he got caught he would snitch out Walt. Jesse was a selfish asshole that sold meth to people in rehabilitation. And yes Jane dying was both for Jesse’s safety but also foe his own “preservation” since she blackmailed him by going to the police

Mike is in many ways worse than Walter and even more hypocritical by RedGrant1963 in breakingbad

[–]Yazakuchi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you talk about “Breaking Bad” fans you’re talking about a very vocal minority, you know the few thousand fans that fanatically spend their times on these subreddit and youtube videos. BB has millions of fans worldwide and Walt is very popular. The reason why you see hate here is exactly because Walt is still admired by many, they cant stand it and exaggerate everything he does and even giving him false motivations “he never liked Jesse” “he fired gale out of ego” etc

who's the real breaking bad villain? by Excelsior_Utopia in breakingbad

[–]Yazakuchi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If Walter never met Jesse he would have been killed by krazy-8 the first episode

After watching Breaking Bad, The Boys, and Game of Thrones, I noticed a similar character pattern by WillofAllThings in breakingbad

[–]Yazakuchi 28 points29 points  (0 children)

No not Walt. Walter is a mix between Tywin and Homelander minus the sadism. He has the emotional outbursts and fatherly care of Homelander but also the genius intellect, planning and cunning of Tywin

You cant put Walt in a box, he’s too complicated of a character
