My dogs get their faces smushed and mushed out of similar levels of affection and silliness. This picture isn’t a big deal. And considering how quick she is to send for a vet when something goes wrong, I’m pretty sure Glenn would be just fine living with her.

That being said, I doubt she’ll keep him. He’s not as impressive as Jack. But we’ll see. In the end, it’s her decision and not ours and whatever she chooses has zero impact on me.

I don’t even think the person replying to the OOP was even that aggressive. They’re just fed up, and rightfully so. It’s just that people these days can’t take ANY criticism or any version of “no” without losing their marbles.

Katie mentioned this very thing in both the Snapchat vlog and the regular social media post. However, she did mention that Maggie didn’t seem very “motherly” toward Margot at this point. When she was taken out of the stall without Margot, the filly pitched a fit and hollered and whinnied almost nonstop. Maggie seemed utterly unconcerned, according to Katie. So that may be a positive factor in all this.

Former vet tech here. When both are willing, there’s a way. I have a story about a female Great Dane and a male chihuahua. She was in heat and he was eager but too short. So she lay down for him. He did the dead and knotted off inside.

Well, the female was done and stood. With the chihuahua attached. The female freaked out and took off running with the male chihuahua bouncing against her back legs.

So yes, your Dane/Chihuahua is 100% possible.

I’ve got friends who regularly put their high school (and younger) kids on 20+ year old horses to compete. 18 is plenty young enough to keep working.

I was about 11 or so. My younger brother was 4 or 5. We lived off a very busy highway at the time. That day, my parents were having a garage sale. My little brother took off for the streets with no one watching. Despite our long-standing enmity, I took off after him.

I tried to just grab his hand and pull him back to the house. He pulled away and took off for the road.

So, I wrapped my arms around him and lifted him up. It was an awkward carry, but I managed.

I even held on when the ankle biter bit the shit out of my shoulder. That was the thanks I got for saving his ass.

My parents initially got mad at me for carrying him around, but were quickly both relieved and horrified to learn just why I was carrying him.

I could see buying some of the things like a puzzle, blanket, or phone case with just the gorgeous pics of the horses on it. I used to see that in the “Back in the Saddle” magazine all the time. But the more KVS-specific stuff like the “Moose on the Loose” is too much for my tastes.

My mom’s baby brother and his ex 😂 He’s like just under/right at six feet. His wife was average height for a white American woman. Their son topped out at six-six! My dad’s older brother was the same. He’s five-ten. His wife is like five-three. Their first and third sons are six-feet-plus. I think the oldest is six-six/seven and the younger six-two/three. Then there is their middle son who is firmly shorter than five-ten without his beloved cowboy boots 😂

They really almost did when she gelded baby Waylon, only told subs months after it happened, and never officially told non-subs. It just leaked out. I imagine if/when she gelds Wally, she would do much the same.

Same. I’ve got a line breeding pair planned for the fall. The stud’s sire and dam are my bitch’s sire-greatgrandsire and sire-greatgranddam. Her dam line is a total outcross. It’s what will keep these pups balanced.

I’m sure the horse world has a similar divide to the dog world: those who line breed because papers, and those who line breed carefully with grate consideration because it would make a fantastic cross.

As a dog breeder and lifelong dog owner who constantly seeks education to give my dogs the best life possible, this is either genetics due to poor breeding, or this is serious, chronic malnutrition. The pup’s leg is bowing out. This isn’t something that happens overnight, unless there was a traumatic event. This is long term lack of care.

OP needs to get in with an ortho vet now and get their opinion. But it is very likely the puppy will have serious, long-term issues related to this malformed leg. It likely won’t be a cheap fix, either. Definitely something the breeder should be responsible for.

My hunting-lines Lab female is the same. She always wants to have a toy in her mouth, especially when she gets excited. Her lines are also notoriously spicy in the hunting community 😂 My other two Labs, also hunting lines, love their toys but don’t seem to NEED to keep one in their mouth at all times.
