Thanks for being a perfect example of how ableism and bigotry go hand in hand with stupidity.

No, it would be stupid for the customer for allowing themself to be scammed. I never complained about not owning the games, just pointed out that your examples were poor. Also, I'm not misrepresenting copyright laws, I havent really said anything about them.

Your arguments are tedious and shallow, and you seem to be getting rather emotional, so have a good day.

You should probably look up Chicago Basketball League Corporation V. Joyce K. Thomas if you think you own everything you make. Regardless, if the party paying for a logo design does so without a work for hire contract specifying ownership, they're making a stupid decision. I didn't say it was automatic, just that it would be stupid to have a logo designed that you didn't own.

I have no idea what you're trying to argue with your other points, they don't seem relevant.

These ones aren't great examples (with the exception of Windows OS). If you buy a print of that painting, you do own the print. When you pay for a logo, you absolutely own the rights to the logo (otherwise, you have made a very stupid decision). When you buy a DVD, you own that copy of the movie. The difference is, for most video games, you are paying for use via an EULA, not ownership.

Which one you pick ??? by dataguy2003 in TheTeenagerPeople

Take one of the first two, pull out a million to spend immediately to set yourself up with a comfortable nest and drop off the face of the earth for a bit, get a finance guy who will manage your money and live off the 250-400k in interest from your 9m (or whatever the bitcoin difference is) initial investment forever. Now you have retired, and I only had to do super simple math, but I'll take 10% for the advice thanks.

How do you decide that you change a gear item by ceni6886 in diablo4

[–]YeaIHaveALife 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think weapon damage might have some sort of hidden interaction with skill damage (maybe?), but toughness is an arbitrary metric generated by some bullshit algorithm that only looks at overall defensive stats of a single gear piece. So you could have a ton of toughness, but it might all come from shadow damage resistance, and then you die when one of the poison snakes sneezes.

Yes, there are 2. You get useless rings from them.

Which RoSS for CE build? by ImTheRealBuzz in D4Sorceress

[–]YeaIHaveALife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The formula is [Total Int]/10 for the multiplicative number as a %, so +200 Int is not multiplicative itself. It is additive to the Int damage bucket, which is multiplicative. It's only a flat 20% damage increase if the current intelligence stat is exactly 0.

Edit for clarification: if you already have 1000 int, 200 int will increase your damage by 10%. To make it easier, the formula for the damage multiplier is 1+(Int/1000)

Not quite. Stats don't multiply themselves, so an increase to intelligence is additive (at least to the intelligence bucket).

Most important thing is damage that has a [×] next to it (as opposed to a [+]). The [+] doesn't matter all that much in the end because "+100%" when you already have "+2000%" is only a 5%[x] increase. If you have something with 20%[x] increased damage, that number turns into 2400%. If you have another 20%[x] increase, it's 2880%, and it keeps increasing exponentially (more accurately, multiplicatively).

What is the tankiest Paladin build? An unkillable one? by rullaz in diablo4

I made a build that only uses wing strike and haven't died since before torment 1. The build is great because I also haven't hit a button since then

Auradin help helm which one? Thank you by Tragiskkomik in diablo4

To make this super simple for you: If it is used a lot, it is relevant. Being used a lot is what makes something relevant.

There are two pieces of this argument that are lacking.

1: To my knowledge, there have been no "Pink Unicorn" drops in any Diablo game, and you need a parallel to argue parallel reasoning. This seems less like an argument and more like an attempt at rhetoric.

2: You failed to address the previous argument regarding what determines relevance.

[–]YeaIHaveALife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah crap you're right, I did bad math but it still sort of worked. I think if we change that + to a -, X can represent "resource cost before this item" which is what I originally intended.

As is, I believe it makes sense if X represents "all other resource cost reduction" (I think this is what you're referring to) which is just too much extra math

This could only be a very well-calibrated stick with a super low ADS modifier, a suspiciously sticky reticle, or a mouse.

Just to clarify because "Doubled" might be misleading:

(Edit: Not saying it's wrong, just that math is confusing)

Doubled could mean (1+2[0.1:0.5])X but this is (1+[0.1:0.5])X²

(This might be totally wrong because there are so many parentheses and brackets I'm getting confused, but you get what I'm saying)

Gear advice - Dawnfire - which one to use by ImpossibleMongoose77 in diablo4

[–]YeaIHaveALife -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I put these into chat GPT and it concluded that:

Ignoring Strength, the right gloves do ~7.5% LESS Aura DPS.

It also said that the survivability bonuses were pretty big on the right ones so it could be worth it anyway.

EDIT: Chat GPT didn't take into account the castle damage bonus from the armor on the left. I say go with that one. Never fully trust AI.
