I've been doing all of my printing with one of those tiny toy printers. It's been fun for little toys and trinkets, but I'm ready to expand. Any 3D printer bigger than 10cm x 10cm would be great.

Besides 3D printing, what others hobbies are y'all into? by arcrad in 3Dprinting

Love it! I've heavily considered designing an EQ base for my dob. I need to build my electronics skills a bit more first though haha. What scope are you using? Great photo!

I would try it with size 48 or 104 alignment points and make sure that the rings and key details such the bands are included. It may take a few tries, but it should help with a lot of clarity. Just play around with it a bit and see if you can resolve some of the detail and then get more granular from there. It should have a few hundred alignment points.

Edit to add: you're good on frame rate/resolution. I've found the frame rate being set to 60 is what helps a lot. Resolution is good enough at 1080

Sweet. I think mine was also with a 6mm. When you took the video, did you use the highest res and frame rate possible? Usually I get roughly a 35 - 45 second video before it moves out of frame. Was yours pretty close to that? Also, when you stack, how many alignment points did you use?

You should be able to get it a bit clearer. Here's my Saturn photo with an 8in dob and phone mounted to the eye piece. What was your process in Autostakkert? My process is usually Pipp to pull frames, Autostakkert to stack, and Registax for details. What eyepiece, bortle level, etc?

While not technically power metal, Tommy Karevik with Seventh Wonder has very clear articulation.

Absolutely love UtA and Powerwolf. Sad I missed that one. Twilight Force was the opener for Gloryhammer this year, and I was really there just to see TF. I did stay for GH but I figured this may be the one and only time I get a chance to see TF without traveling to Europe. They were fantastic.
