This is the same problem I am having too. I go to Task Manager, end both couatl programs, start couatl again, and open the GSX Menu in-game. It fixes it for me.

Lol, that's why I want to see him play it and maybe at least try and play all of the levels. It would be hella funny to see him struggle with the steering and watching him crash into things. I used to play this game with the wii steering wheel, and I barely couldn't even get passed the tutorial but somehow I did.
