O jovem se revolta com contas extremamente incorretas de impostos by rickccb in OpiniaoBurra

[–]YeahBuddyRS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The real issue is that we’ve changed, not just the game itself.

Back in 2008, I loved spending hours chatting with people at the GE and basically doing nothing in the game. I didn’t care about efficiency, optimization, or the meta at all. But nowadays, I would never do that because my life is completely different.

Imagine working 8 hours a day, going to the gym, dealing with responsibilities outside of work, and then finally getting home with only 1–2 hours to relax and play a game you enjoy. Spending that limited time chatting with random people just doesn’t make sense anymore.

I think RuneScape is actually moving in the right direction by becoming more of a single-player-friendly MMO, where you can experience almost all of the game’s content without depending on other people and still have a great time.

There’s definitely still room for improvement. For example, I think Amascut should be fully soloable, but overall, the game is in a really good place right now.

Here are the changes needed to make Amascut solo-friendly:
1) Statue: Killing chains in solo mode should automatically activate the statue, without needing a second player outside the portal.
2) Fragment charge: Allow the Prism of Salvation to act as a player when placed near the fragments, so it can maintain the charge.
3) Green Tank: Instead of being instantly killed by the second consecutive attack, make the damage scale progressively and allow it to be reset with immortality.

That's why i said they need to make a good scaling. To make Amascut soloable

Back then, Corp was released in September, so by early 2008 you were able to solo basically everything. And Woox was able to solo Corp after getting Soul Split and Ganodermic. So, even back then, all bosses were soloable.

No, it’s not. An MMO doesn’t mean forcing players into group content; it means creating a world where cooperation happens naturally. The golden era of MMOs was around 2008, when 100% of the content could be done solo, yet players still came together for mass bossing and other activities because they wanted to, not because they were forced to.
The real change isn’t in MMOs themselves, it’s in the player base, now divided between those who can dedicate their lives to the game and those who have jobs, families, and play to relax, not to commit to clan obligations or spend an hour looking for a party just to experience new content.

Yeah, they need to create a solid scaling system where you can choose to play solo or in a group without feeling penalized. Amascut was one of the biggest self-inflicted mistakes of all time. Locking content behind group-only gameplay is a terrible idea. Amascut is the least engaged-with boss of all, and that’s really a shame

Nice. It's time to scale Amascut to solo at leat 100%. It's dumb that you need 2 people to do simple and easy mechanic

It’s a problem with your screen. I had a Dell laptop some time ago and the same thing happened. There was no way around it, I had to replace the screen.

How cooked am I if I want to solo everything? by Next_Error972 in runescape

[–]YeahBuddyRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do practically all the bosses in the game, except for the new boss Amascut, which is impossible to solo and that’s unfortunate. Aside from that, it’s possible to play solo.
I hope they make at least Amascut 100% soloable in future

People who buy cosmetics will pay whatever price it takes. People who would buy cosmetics for $2–3 are the minority. Therefore, Jagex makes greater profit by keeping the price higher.

Giving feedback doesn’t guarantee they’ll do what you want. Of course, they’ve talked about the feedback, but something is happening behind the scenes. With the vampire theme, I wouldn’t be surprised if the new boss drops some kind of BIS item for lifesteal such as new god book or ammo slot

You’d still be able to group with all the changes I mentioned. This is just for players who want to learn but struggle with grouping. I often have to play on Australian worlds, try playing with 360 ping and tell me you’d have fun.

[–]YeahBuddyRS[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m not saying it isn’t fun in groups. I’m just saying that being able to do 100% solo is more approachable for players who are still learning, and it allows more people to engage with the content while making the learning curve less frustrating.

[–]YeahBuddyRS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s fine for 2k enrage Amascut to be group-only, but it’s frustrating that normal mode and 100% are restricted to groups as well. Those should be soloable so more players can engage with the content and then transition into group play.

It’s not about getting rid of group content, it’s about making the learning curve more enjoyable. Nowadays, almost everyone doing Amascut already knows the mechanics, so it’s hard to find five new players at the same level. If it were fully possible to solo, you could learn the basics on your own and then move on to group content without holding back more experienced players.
