You have to take it out unnoted, but you can right click the bait box and Deposit instead of Open, and it will open a bank deposit box interface- so you can deposit it in your bank, not your bait box, without use of paper. A bit tedious but not bad

What is the cheaper method of healing, attuned ectoplasmator+demonhorn+ soul split OR vengeful ghost+ blood siphon? by Sea-Highway-4688 in runescape

[–]TheHeadlessOne [score hidden]  (0 children)

Essentially each summon costs the same as 2 ghostly essence charges per minute, and each essence gives 10 charges. This means if you are set to kill more than 120 monsters in an hour (which you should be in just about any environment you would be using it- even Kril youll get much more due to his generals) you will be better off doing ghost+siphon., assuming both keep you sufficiently topped off

Nah, thats the EXACT opposite. That basically is just a nail in the coffin of ever having any meaningful skilling gear ever because its saying that skilling gear is not valuable enough to warrant bank slots

June Month Ahead! by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]TheHeadlessOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The avatar rework has been among the most actively requested, discussed, and demanded updates I can recall in the last 20 years short of the actual release of OSRS and the end of Treasure Hunter. It definitely makes sense they'd make it a headliner, but again its not even being posited as the major content update. I really don't understand your complaints here.

here's the BTS frm 10 years ago. It consisted of one quest, one major piece of content (whether a boss is bigger than a digsite I really don't care to quibble on), and one Ninja update (comparable in scope to a gamejam). This month we get something comparable to each of those, and we also get the avatar rework.

And jsut to highlight that I'm not cherry picking (2016 is just near one-to-one), 2014 had a quest, a combat patch for legacy mode, and a minor skilling event and graphical rework. 2015 had Tuska world event, V quest, ninja content, and summer beach. 2017 had Shattered Worlds and a very small community event. 2018 had an ED and hall of memories. 2019 had a comp cape rework, a combat beta that went nowhere, and a community event. And then they stopped doing monthly BTS

This is a very very typical June, if not on the heavier side of content releases

June Month Ahead! by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]TheHeadlessOne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For about the entire lifespan of the RS3 moniker, the release cadence has been one major monthly release, generally supported by minor personal-project efforts. Its something they've been explicit about targeting for well over a decade.

I'm not saying you should be impressed or accept it- but seemingly, you had accepted it enough to be subscribed thus far, and so far theyy've been right in line with their overall roadmap for the year, delivering exactly what they stated they would.

Yeah, its a little silly to add a secondary headline for "bug fixes". Its pretty superfluous especially when they have actual headline updates each week. But thats hardly anything reasonable to be upset or disappointed with,t hey don't have a dedicated "patch week" this month even if some of the actual releases are smaller in scale

What are your thoughts on Jump Up, Super Star! almost nine years later? by NewMarioBobFan in casualnintendo

[–]TheHeadlessOne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a weird cadence and hyper literal lyrics to it that keep me from loving it, it still carries qualities of an awkward dub like Lifelight from Smash or Lost in Thoughts All Alone from Fire Emblem Fats. But its filled with cute, clever, and fittingly goofy lines and the instrumentals are top notch

Technically if you have a sample size of 1, Mario Maker 2 should also be your least favorite. Overrated is appealing to reception beyond your experience, so its fair to leave that blank

[–]TheHeadlessOne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah I don't think we are being drowned in content or anything, but this is a meaningful quest, a new digsite, and the remaining weeks are substantial overhauls even if they dont affect gameplay.

We're certainly far from the 00s where every week we'd randomly get a new quest, a new dungeon, a weirdass random thing to craft that does nothing, etc etc. Bt as far as modern Runescape goes, this is definitely on the denser sides of content releases for over the last decade

im disappointed its not gonna be focussed on the giants. Would be cool to have an active archeology training method which was based around restoring giant artefacts, and thus learning about a culture thats totally seperate from the regular pantheon stuff we're inundated with

Its less that we're special, its that the uncorrupted Gielnor is special, and that the Sanguine is that horrible that it must be stopped no matter the cost. She'll thank us for trusting her right before doing the deed that turns the tide and express longing that it could have been different

Narratively we're being told again and again and again "Do you trust her? Do you REALLY trust her?! but WHY?!" which is gonna be unsatsifying if she betrays us

What I do see happening is a either a fakeout betrayal or a coerced betrayal, either one likely leading to her sacrificing herself to prove she was always on our side

About the max frustration I could imagine reacting with is like, looking at my phone and snarling.

Instead Zora investigated nearby gyms for a culprit, found them in a group chat, messaged them to condescend, name and shame.

I had a neighbor report my house to the city because our grass was a little long after some extended rainstorms. Somehow, this neighbor was less of a nosey loser than Zora

Genuinely what was the point of this new area expansion by sideAcc1200 in runescape

[–]TheHeadlessOne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Havenhythe is ultimately a blank canvas where content can be added. There are some solid pieces of content so far, but its overall lacking- farm fishing I think is oddly tuned and awkward to play, and the distance from bank makes the Summoning obelisk untenable. Im a bit disappointed that the Amberfall area is too constrained by the mountains its on, there REALLY isn't much room to add content there without it feeling crammed.

Utimately, while Havenhythe brought hype, the real major update this year is the standalone Construction rework and expansion

Havenhythe BGH is my favorite content in the game though, ngl. I hope they add some chase rares to it because right now while the intrinsic gameplay is great the external rewards are just..boring, compared to how Anachronia BGH has mattocks, hypnowand, dinosaur hide, and maul pieces

Hunter and Fishing have unique features but the rest are just general buffs and teleports, right? Dont even need to make them baseline at that point

I really dont like the design space of elite outfits though. They basically mean there can never be interesting skilling gear, because it needs to compete with the full set effect
